Hellooooo everyone, I hope you're all doing alright today☆

Anyway, I have the most important poll that you'll ever hear from me, so please make sure to pay close attention, okay? ♪

So, someone I know who just joined us in this app - his name's Leon, by the way! - told me that cats are inferior to dogs, so I want to hear from you guys what you think: Which is the superior creature? Cats or dogs?

[He prickles at Leon's response-- okay, so maybe he DID barge into his room without asking, but who wouldn't after hearing that clear across the apartment-- but he squashes that flare of annoyance at the sound of his cousin's sigh. No, arguing wouldn't help this situation at all, even if Xiaolang felt deep in his gut that this was going to wind up being extremely stupid. Oh you sweet summer child

He crosses his arms and studies Leon's expression, his own brow furrowing in minor concern. He'd chide his cousin over asking Mio of all people for help, but he looked unraveled enough as it is. Just what in the world happened?

Well, what sort of favor? It's not like you to throw away your dignity to this kind of extent for no good reason.

[Oh Xiaolang, how right you are in your train of thought about this being stupid...

His cousin really did know him all too well. There was no way he would throw away his pride and dignity for something as inane as this. If it was just Mio recording him, it probabably would have been less humiliating on himself if he just let her post the video. However, she got Xiaolang involved and there was no way he could risk his dignity. Which is what got him into his mess...

He lets out another sigh and contemplates how to word this, without letting his cousin know that he's part of the reason why he's doing this.]

She has some dirt on me that I don't want the whole world to know about. [He continues to frown] Don't worry about it, though. It's something that I simply need to deal with on my own.

[If Leon's intent was to not make Xiaolang worry... well, he failed terribly at it. The concern was clear across his face as his cousin's words sink in, and he searches his mind over what could have possibly went down to get him to act this drastically. Was it something illegal? A secret he couldn't even tell a member of his family? If it was related to his gaming hobby, then Xiaolang really WAS going to be pissed, but something told him it was much more serious than that.]

You can't just go and tell me something like this and not expect me to be concerned. Whatever this may be, I don't want you trashing your pride over it, especially not with the position you're in. If Mio is blackmailing you about something, then I'll talk to her about it. I can stand up to her well enough. [lmao no you can't, Xiaolang, this is why we're in the middle of turkeygate right now??]

But can you at least give me some sort of clue what this dirt is? It's not anything illegal, is it? [HE CAN'T DEFEND YOU IF THAT'S THE CASE...]

[Just from that look alone, he could already tell that he utterly failed at making Xiaolang not worry. Deep down, he really did appreciate his cousin's concern. Even if it was something as silly as wearing cat ears for a month. Besides his parents, Xiaolang was the only other person who knew him really well. It meant a lot to him to hear that he didn't want to watch him throw away his pride.

Still, he couldn't let Mio destory Xiaolang's social life and get called turkey boy or something.]

... Thanks Xiaolang, I truly do appreciate that. [But before he could smile and have a tender cousin moment, his face immediately goes pale at what he had to say. Oh god no!]

Absolutely not! There's no way I would engage in something illegal!! [Oh dear god. Hopefully his cousin didn't get any colorful imaginations in his head.]

It's... [He lets out the longest sigh, thinking back on that horrific day. Surely if he says this much then maybe Xiaolang won't notice that his dignity was at stake too? In fact, did his cousin know about his own video???] She took an embarrassing video of me that I don't want seen by the whole world.

[Xiaolang was probably the one person in the city who knew Leon the best at the moment, so even he had his doubts about the possibility of his cousin doing something illegal on purpose. Accidentally, though? Probably a little more likely, though Xiaolang didn't even want to begin to think of what that could be.

So when Leon sighs, and finally divulges that bit of information, Xiaolang's eyes widen in shock, a chill creeping up his spine. No. He couldn't have known-- could he? About his own embarrassing video? He made sure to keep it under wraps for as much as possible, but with Mio involved--]

... ah. T-That might be harder to manage. [Especially given her trump card...]

How is this any different from the other times she's embarrassed you, though? You usually don't go to such lengths, even if it is a video. Just what does it involve...? [Please don't say turkeys, PLEASE]

[When Xiaolang puts it like that, there's a bit of hilarious irony involved. If he wasn't so caught up in his pride, then Leon would have possibly found it funny. There's no telling how many times she's embarrassed him in the past and truthfully, this really wasn't all THAT different. With the exeption of Xiaolang also getting involved in this.]

There's other factors involved in this case, as much as I hate to admit. [The MAIN factor in this, being his dear cousin of course. Really, he would have just let the whole world see the video instead of wearing these stupid cat ears. As tsundere as he was about his love for his cousin, he refused to let him be a laughing stock to the whole world.]

[Sorry Xiaolang, BUT THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS......]

Turkeys, it was those goddam turkeys. I knew those god awful creatures were going to be the end of me some kind of way.

It's an interesting change, given how much Xiaolang blushes, to see his face do the opposite for once. Skin leeched of color, he stares at Leon for a good few moments, before tearing his gaze away to focus on something else. Who cursed the men of this family?? Who made them easy victims for this sort of thing???]

But they only bothered you that one time, though, didn't they? When we hid in that cafe with Jasmine? [Granted, with both of their luck, and with the vendetta those hell birds had on Xiaolang and his family, he shouldn't have been surprised. He mutters, partially to himself--] That stupid Mi-ron, why does she even do stuff like this--?

[But Leon's words hint at much more, and he turns his attention back to his cousin.]

What OTHER factors are there, Leon? This isn't just about the turkeys, is it?

You're correct, that experience was the only time that they bothered me. However... [He lets out the longest sigh as he recalls that stupid memory. He still couldn't believe he had such a lapse of judgement and did the stupidest thing imaginable. He felt embarrassed explaining it to Xiaolang, but he felt as though he had to at least give him some of the details.] Afterwards, I decided to get revenge on the turkeys and so, I set up a trap to capture one of them.

Sonozaki happened to be there. I caught her hiding in the bushes and I stupidly made myself look like a clumsy fool and she got an embarrassing video of me.

[Mi-ron. If his social life wasn't at stake, Leon would have totally been checkling at the nickname. However, this incident was no laughing matter.

Xiaolang's question causes him to pause. No matter what he said, he knew that his cousin would be able to pick up on what was going on and would even figure the true reasoning behind this dumb punishment of his.]

Let's just say that it's not only my dignity at stake but someone else's as well. D-Don't worry about it...
