This is the second time I have gotten clothing from Retrospec. The first time, it looked relatively similar to my Kendo practice outfit, although with a few extra elements, but this time... [Yes, he did intentionally cut off his own face from the picture.] This is clearly period clothing, and I don't mean a modern replica. It's the original thing. Has anyone gotten anything like it?

Kimono and hakama tend to be, yes. The kimono and outer robes appear to be silk.

I suppose in a way, it could be. But I think it's a battle outfit.

Something like that would be worn for battles? There is so little armor for what I'd expect of something associated with battle attire.

Japanese medieval armor tended to be pretty light if you weren't nobility anyway.

And I think the length of the blade makes light armor necessary. It's so heavy that any additional weight would just slow you down.

The icon is small, and I rarely post anyway. I just don't want my face plastered all over the internet.

Why do you see the point? Who needs to know about your life apart from the people in it?

To know and understand the world. One of the best ways to learn about the world around you is through the people in it. Your own social circle can teach you a great deal but even they will open your eyes to others.

I can be seen as an example. If there really is no point to those apart from the people you already know then why are we friends?

The fact is that you expanded your social circle. Social media has a similar concept to it. It also allows you to share memories and ideas with those who might not otherwise be able to speak with you.

Yes, I did expand my circle, without the use of an app.

That's why I said I don't need it.

Or who do you speak to now more because you have the connection of the app?

You may not need it but it doesn't change the fact that there is a point to social media.
