[12:24pm]

Good afternoon. I just retrieved my first items from Retrospec, and they seem to be half sprouted seeds. They're the largest ones I've ever seen, about the size of my palm and very heavy.

I will be planting them with the family gardener's help, but any advice in general would be appreciated.

My apologies. I no longer need help with gardening, but I very urgently require advice on the proper care of farm animals. The seeds I planted earlier somehow sprouted four fully grown sheep within a few seconds, and I've no idea how to look after them now that they're in the apartment.

I volunteer! Obviously that's not my specialty but I do know a lot about a wide variety of animals and know someone who is an almost-veterinarian too!

How large is your apartment...

[ More importantly, why did you bring them inside? ]

Sheep would do best in a pasture with a small shed. Churchill Downs might provide temporary housing until you find a better solution.

Plant sheep?
You gotta take a picture of those and let us see!

They grew into fully matured sheep? Incredible. Simply amazing.

Are they soft?

YES SHEEP PLANTS

I suppose you could always sell the wool for extra money.

For starters, you might want to name and id them.

So you can tell them apart and keep track.

I think the animal shelter may be able to help you... or doing some research online or at the library?

Four sheep might need maybe an acre of land. Maybe less. But they'll graze through a normal backyard and grass doesn't grow back quickly in the winter.

[personal profile] compendiem 2018-01-10 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Are you really expanding your backyard? It might be better to just let them go to a farmer who can properly raise them.

Ah ha. Perhaps you could keep them around to use as pillows?

Though, I assume if they act like actual sheep, they may not be okay with that...

You can give them different colored ribbons! That would work, right? I'd say ear tags but that seems mean to harmless sheep.

Bloomed? Like they were... flowers? Right, you said you got seeds.

Oh wow
They're so cute
Are they soft and squishy and friendly?
insantafe: (don't you know that we's a family)

[personal profile] insantafe 2018-01-10 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright, this may be a stupid question, considering you just grew sheep from a bunch of seeds. But how can plants, even sheep plants, grow like that when there's no light out?

[ he knows literally nothing about gardening but plants need sun don't they?? ]
nachetanya: (Sparkle)

[personal profile] nachetanya 2018-01-10 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Well if they're sheep you shouldn't be keeping them in the house? Ideally, you'd want to have an area they can graze on with open plains and a shed for them to sleep in during the colder months like this.

But for now, do you have any forage plants or herbs around?
vitis: (there was no making this not awful)

[personal profile] vitis 2018-01-10 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[ well shit ]

well, if that doesn't sound like some horrendous science project gone wrong
they don't got stems? leaves? ... just sheep?
blind_badass: (conjecture)

[personal profile] blind_badass 2018-01-11 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose it would depend on healthy the sheep look. I'm not a wool expert, sadly.
