My name is Sakichi Niijima. This message is addressed to those of us still in Recollé.

Valentine's Day is approaching. Many of you had plans with members of the expeditionary teams that are no longer feasible, but all is not lost. I and Chiyo Matsuoka intend to deliver any parcels addressed to those expeditionary members, provided they are entrusted to us by February 14th. The Post Office is continuing its hold on all out-of-town mail, so do not send any of your gifts through traditional mailing methods.

Please reply if you have a letter or parcel you would like delivered, and we will arrange for a pick-up.

No. We haven't had much opportunity to speak.
But Chiyo did inform me that swords have become a fad among Retrospecters.

yeah it's the trendy weapon of choice i guess ┐(´∀｀)┌
also some of us are swords so that's a thing
some are just regular samurai though
or a future space samurai maybe
or whatever
it's kind of a coin toss when you run into someone new with a sword

If I didn't know you, I would say you sounded insane.
Rather, you still sound insane, but I'm at least reasonably sure you aren't.

anyway we're both on the used to be swords side of things
he blabs about it all the time but it's still really weird even by retrospec standards imo

once you start seeing those visions things can catch up to you pretty fast
putting stuff together can take a little more time though

I see... So it may take some time for things to become clear.
My sister and I were introduced to Retrospec at the same time, but she has already experienced multiple memories while I have seen none.
I wondered if my vision rate was low, but perhaps hers is just high.

most people i know have like
a couple every few weeks or something
but i mean i once got two back to back
so it's kind of hard to predict...

I'll confess I'm curious to know what life I chose to lead in a different life.

most people are!
but maybe just think of this as like
your last rest before you start a marathon or something
no one really knows what they'll get back or when it might start or how long it could take
and some stuff people are remembering is rough
really rough
so you can just use this like pre memory time to focus on city stuff instead of worrying about whether or not your friends in another life might have been eaten by bears or whatever

Every person dies eventually.
Death by wildlife isn't ideal, but one can hope it would be swift.

i mean maybe not actual bears
but also maybe yes??
there's a lot of weird stuff happening in people's memories
you might even be from one of those worlds with dragons and people getting burnt up by dragon breath probably isn't a fun thing to remember
