Everyone! I have a big announcement! I, Jirou Hirata, am engaged! Isn't that exciting??????? KENTA PROPOSED TO ME ON VALENTINE'S! No idea when the wedding will be yet but it'll be big and fashionable~ After all, between FaiFai and momma they'll want it beautiful! I do too of course. lol Love you all!

[ooc: For anyone into fashion, Jirou's mother is the creator and owner of Hirata Fashion which is a huge fashion company! So feel free to recognize the name if you like!]

[ SHE DOES INSIST BUT .... yeah she'll meet him there with her hair up in a bun and otherwise looking much the same as ever. Though because it's night she can keep the sunglasses off. That's nice. But yeah. ]

[Jirou sees her and immediately she's getting a hug. Because this is Jirou and he's super affectionate.]

Eldaaaa! You're so pretty like I said!

[ She expected that, and allows herself to be swept up in it, making to try to get her arms back around him, laughing as she does. Given the height difference and that she's not that heavy (actually for a person she's pretty light) she's easily swept off her feet ]

Me? You're the one practically radiant right now, Jirou!

Well the guy that I've loved since I was six proposed to me! I can't help it!

[He laughs and sets her down. Because hey she can walk! It would be silly to carry her!]

[ Lucky- but yeah, she can. She can, but she does reach out and up a little to hold his hand so they might swing it a little, heading into the bar.

Of course he can't. It's a wonderful day. ]

I'd be a little alarmed if you could help it! No, that's fantastic! You've got to tell me about it, if there was some fanfare!

He took me on a date yesterday! Like the most magical princess date ever!

[He waits until they're sitting and have ordered a drink before continuing.]

So the day before he told me he was taking me out for Valentine's and showed me the suit he was wearing. I went out with FaiFai to go get something that would match right away.

[matchbreaker]

Oh, that's clever, making sure there's something good for the photos and the mood but not really blowing the whole show.

[ She'll nod approvingly at that, but also motions for him to go on. she is, actually, genuinely interested in hearing this out. And glad to see him on this one day back. ]

On Valentine's we took a limo to the hotel and of course he'd booked the best suite in there. Everything was laid out perfectly. Flowers and sparkling sake and music. The dinner was right there and we had one of the most delicious meals with dessert.

[He might as well have hearts in his eyes right now...]

[ If that's literal color her surprise she's not heard about that but she's also up for... assuming it's a trick of the light...

Mostly trying to keep the listening smile on tho. ]

[There are sparkling sakura petals around them as he keeps talking. And these are no trick of the light. These are actually here falling around them.]

He asked me to dance and we talked about how much we meant to each other. Then he was asking me to marry him! Oh my gosh and he made sure to have a matching ring to mine!

[He shows her his ring. A black band with gold going through the middle. Simple but classy and yet so stylishly different. So very much like the person wearing it.]

[ . . . Where is this coming from? She's trying hard to keep eye contact but her gaze does end up flickering around to try to find a source. Honestly, the woman doesn't bare in mind that she doesn't have her sunglasses on (a rarity these days) and thus the movement of her eyes is more obvious...

But okay!! The ring gives her something else to focus on ]

Oh wow! That's a design I don't think I've seen before?

[ She asks by way of her eyes if she can touch Jirou's hands, but she does sort of assume she can too, so she does to get a look around the whole band of it. That's impressive. It's cool, actually. ]

Oh don't mind the flowers. Apparently I just do that now when I'm really, really happy and in good health. I think. At least that's how it seems to work so far!

[He laughs as he hands his hand over to her. Because obviously she wants to touch so he wants her to as well!]

But it's so pretty, right?

Oh, so that's a new normal?

[ She giggles all the same actually, thinking back on... on James. Ah, he hadn't done a ring, had he? She didn't have a ring in her memories, but as she looks at Jirou's hand, thumbs against his ring...

It's sad that's her reference point. But it's still a pleasant feeling. ]

Yep! It's a sword thing somehow. Aren't they pretty?

[He giggles, letting her admire the ring all that she wants to while talking about the flowers all around them.]

I love that they're my favorite flower too.

Swords can do that too, huh? That's good. I worried to some extent about you being a thing which is only made to kill.

[ It doesn't suit him. ]

Really? I didn't mind that part so much. I mean I am a sword so killing kind of goes with that.

[Jirou always has lived in his own bubble so his morals are a little different.]

[ Elda's expression shifts there, her eyes shifting to catlike mode as some tension comes into her features. She gently brushes the ring once more and then takes her hand back from Jirou's hands.

She struggles to think of a proper response to that. It's not coming easily to her.

To be that flippant about it... is that strong or... ? ]

[He notes her reaction and rests his cheek on his hand to watch her curiously.]

What's on your mind?

Just me thinking too hard, probably.

[ It's said with a light little laugh as she sits up and leans back for the counter as the drinks are coming. Haha... ]

[He hums thoughtfully. What brought on this mood? Oooooh... It's what he said isn't it.]

[ bah. she gratefully takes the drink, sipping it before responding, ]

Come now, it's not the time for that.

[He laughs softly.]

If you think it'll bring down your mood then okay. We can talk about it later.

[Her mood though. Obviously he doesn't think anything can bring down his.]

[He laughs and lifts his drink up.]
