Congratulations on your new friend.
Horses are much like big dogs but require far more care.
I can only render some small assistance, but only as someone who rode ponies as a child.
You'll need a stable. A decent income to provide proper food and care. A saddle, bridle, brush.
Does he have a name? He's beautiful, I must say.

Money is definitely not an issue, and it seems I will be able to house him at the stables in town until I can get my own built and staffed.

He's named Iwaiichigou. I don't think I was the one to name him, though. In fact I don't know if he's really 'mine'.
