I'm Kouhei Sugihara, and I'm a tutor and student at Recollé U. I mostly offer tutoring for basic subjects, but lately, a few of my friends have been asking me to teach them sign language. I don't use it much in my daily life, but since I've had hearing problems since I was young, I'm fluent in Japanese sign language and pretty comfortable with American sign language. I don't mind teaching it, since it's something I know a lot about, and everyone keeps telling me that other people might be interested too. So...

Just in case, if I offered sign language tutoring, would anyone be interested? I don't really have a way to get the word out aside from Retrospec, and I'd feel more comfortable offering it to a smaller number of people first. I've been thinking of going for my ASL teaching certification anyway, so... If you want to learn anything, whether it's fingerspelling (letters) or basic signs or something else, I can help you.

Sure, that's no problem. I think I'll be better teaching one on one, to tell you the truth, and you don't need to feel stressed if you're just learning for fun.

Don't worry about me being busy, though. If you give me a couple days of advance notice, I can probably make most days and times work. How does that sound?

thats actually perfect! i have a busy schedule too since i do a lot of stuff so it would be a lot easier to plan a time beforehand

though how early or late can you do it? i dont want you to work too early or too late if youre tired...

Most of my classes are in the mornings and early afternoon, so on weekdays, I always have at least a couple of things between 9 and 3. But if you're a student, I'm guessing those times don't work for you anyway.

Outside of that, I'm willing to work with you, since I doubt you'll want to meet at 6 AM or midnight. I think it's great that you have a busy schedule.

Take your time, there's no rush. We could even meet next month or in the summer if that would be easier for you.

That too, but it's mostly just that being busy means you're involved in a lot of things. I closed myself off for a while when I was younger, so I've always admired people with the drive to get out there and do things.

It's not my place to pry, but you're living on your own? And you're a high schooler?
