Those of you that have received physical changes from Retrospec, how long did it take before they stopped seeming fundamentally wrong - do they ever, or am I just going to be handling being mentally inconvenienced every time I try to do anything that involves mirrors for the foreseeable future? I admit that I don't have much to complain about, in the scheme of things - especially since I'm not opposed to the results - but apparently I'm going to do so anyway, simply just because such is social media.

Then again, this particular identity crisis is brought to you by the realization that I haven't seen certain members of my family in two years, and if they were to see me now they wouldn't recognize me on immediate sight. So I think I have some right to be at least mildly distressed.

You're right. It's frightening, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I guess the people that are happy with their changes are lucky.

Mine ended up lavender. Which isn't the worst thing, admittedly, until you're trying to get people to take you seriously in court.

Oh, um! I can imagine it wouldn't be the best for court, LOL! Have you tried to dye over it?

The dye doesn't last, unfortunately. Same with cutting it; it becomes a more or less daily process that's worth neither the expense nor the effort.

Ugh that's too bad. I mean I'm sure it looks great, but not for work! What do you do in court, exactly?

I'm a prosecuting attorney - one of the ADAs at the district office.

Oooh, that's really cool! I wonder if I've ever seen you? I've had to testify in court a few times for work, although not lately (thankfully, with all of the nonsense that's been going on with Retrospec!)
