hey so quick question how do I explain why I bleed ink to my boyfriend -yes he's already seen it -I was cutting up vegetables and scratched a finger -it'd be great if someone could give advice relatively soon because I don't know how long 'I need to lie down and then I'll talk to you about it' will work, he's still panicking he's just not demanding an answer right this second thanks for the help

I'm thinking I'm not okay with people being forced to be the same as their past selves, because some of us have past selves we don't want to emulate in any way. If there wasn't any point in trying to be someone other than the garbage fire that was past me, I think I'd have a mental breakdown. It's fine if you want to help people with the powers you have, I'm not saying you can't. I'm saying that it's a choice.

It's alright. Just, I cannot overstate how much I do not want to be past me. I know some people want to be more like their past selves and that's fine, go for it, but if it was an automatic thing then that would mean I was doomed to become the scum of the earth and I'm not okay with that.

More or less. My past self was the spirit of a dead author summoned out of a book who bled ink and fought monsters to save literature, or something like that. If it was anything normal - even if it was depressing - or if my boyfriend had Retrospec access, I'd be honest with him in a heartbeat.
