how do I explain why I bleed ink to my boyfriend

-yes he's already seen it
-I was cutting up vegetables and scratched a finger
-it'd be great if someone could give advice relatively soon because I don't know how long 'I need to lie down and then I'll talk to you about it' will work, he's still panicking he's just not demanding an answer right this second

Yes, I think so, and I don't know but I haven't fallen over dead yet respectively.

I haven't really tried coloring it. The most cost-efficient ink to buy in large quantities is black. I have printer ink around, obviously, but that stuff costs more than my apartment so I don't want to use that up for an experiment.

I mean, would he be able to retain the information?
It'd be kind of a nasty catch-22 if he can remember/process that your blood is wrong, but not a reason for it.

I don't know. Things are different right now and I'm scared of screwing more stuff up. Or hurting him somehow by telling him things he's not supposed to be able to know.

When it's to keep people from worrying about me, I usually just lie (lol), but in a situation like this that would sort of maybe veer too far into gaslighting territory? So... that's not great.
