Save the Dave is a Recolle Wildlife Fund to save our one and only unicorn in a human vessel, Dave Strider. Dave is a rare creature that is capable of time travel and bringing over 6 entrees to one’s table. He is also melodic, capable of playing a whole orchestra on his own. Born cool, he is one of the last that wear shades indoors and at night. With whatever amount you choose to donate, even a penny, we can keep our Dave Strider happy in Recolle with some apple juice boxes and loving support.

because “otherkin” as a term has a rather bad reputation. some people that seriously use the term become obsessive... like they don’t want other people cosplaying the character they kin with or people putting up official artwork of that character. depending on the individual, it involves harassment as they feel entitled to their kin identity even if it isn’t necessarily a defining piece that has heavy impact on their life. it has little to do with the term and belief, but it certainly attracts people who want to be better than themselves aside from firm believers of reincarnation.

there’s an obvious line between struggles in identity we face as Retrospec users and believing you are Justin Bieber. otherkin generally encompasses the latter which may include speaking for Justin Bieber, telling people to stop posting pictures of Justin Bieber without permission, taking insults to Justin Bieber seriously, then taking Justin Bieber’s actions as your own, etc.

to say we’re otherkin, while true by its definition, means we’re affiliated with a group of people who sometimes loses touch with reality in their beliefs.
