Surei Pu'uwai-Lefay 8/13 near Recollé

Hello everyone! This is Sorey. It's been a while since I made a post, but I wanted to go over a few things related to the spirits residing in Recollé. Last year, I invited people on the app to come out to some weird places that had rumors of supernatural activity. It started out as kind of a hobby, but since I can actually see spirits, it's become more important. The ghosts, shades, spirits-- whatever you want to call them-- are linked to this city just like we are. They notice the weird things that happen too. That's why it's more important than ever to bridge the gap and learn what we can. This is where you guys come in! On 8/25, I'll be taking a group of people to a place that has a reputation of being spiritually active. I scouted the place several times and I can say it's fairly safe. As before, I'll be messaging the address to people who are interested. If you plan on coming: - Bring a flashlight and a fully-charged phone. - Skeptics welcome as long as you're not disruptive. - Last but not least: respect the spirits. They react directly to how you approach them. It's okay to be scared, that's normal, but please don't be aggressive. This is a peaceful and hopefully informative trip into their territory. If you want to see the encounters we've had previously, I have a report here. The report only covers actual expeditions and not what I've experienced by myself or in smaller groups. Remember: the only difference between doing science and fooling around is writing it down.

As far as I'm concerned, you've got some experience with spirits too. It'll be good to have you along!

I don't know if I could call it experience, but...

These excursions. They're usually safe, right? I saw in the last report that everyone passed out during it, but... that's not a common occurrence, is it?

That was the only time, and everyone was unharmed when that happened. I'm sure it was just a warning. I've visited the graveyard since then and I didn't encounter anything like that.

It's possible it had something to do with the time of the year (it was close to Halloween) as well as the size of the group.

Even if it's a warning, it still sounds sort of dangerous. Someone could have fallen badly on something and gotten hurt.

It's possible the ghosts might be strong this time of year too, though, so it's good for us to be careful regardless. There's something we celebrate during August in Hong Kong called the Hungry Ghosts festival, and it's said that this is when the spirits leave the underworld to get offerings from their descendants. I doubt it'll have any effect here, but the date for the excursion does fall on that day as well...

That's why we take precautions. Flashlights, good footwear, and a slow pace... I never said it wasn't dangerous, but in this case I feel the risk is worth the experience. No one else will look at the paranormal side of Recollé-- it's up to us.

I've never heard of that festival, so it's good to be aware of! I'll be taking my sword along. The only ones who fear it are evil spirits, so it should be fine.

Well, I think that's good to have in any exploration, supernatural or not. I'll make sure to pack things accordingly, in case we wind up needing anything while we're there. Would there be anything you'd recommend?

Also, from what I know, the festival is similar to... Obon? The Japanese one? That's what Tsukasa had told me, anyway. So I'm going to bring some offerings along too, if that's okay. Even if there's no evil spirits about, we should give the regular ones something so it doesn't feel like we're bothering them.

Hmm... I always pack snacks and water, like protein bars. You never know when you're going to need to overnight somewhere, even if the risk is super low. It's the same reason I keep a coat in the trunk of my car. You'll definitely want to bring a jacket too since it's late summer.

That's a really great idea! You know, I've never met a spirit in this life or the last who didn't want offerings. A lot of them are happy just to be acknowledged.
