Status report from the field teams? Same for the rescue teams. We have people out in both locations and from where I'm sitting you guys are moving pretty fast.

The layer itself isn't at a risk of collapsing just yet, but I don't really want to take a bunch of chances.

Also my office has since been taken over by Whistler's Mother and I can't get her to leave, so it looks like I'm temporarily moving. Again. Anybody else having this problem?

Report to me with anything you need. The map on my system's filling out as much as it can, but I feel like I'm missing pieces.

Keep each other posted. Oh, and heads up? Looks like tech had one more batch of testers they were going to bring in, so...if you see anybody new? Try and get them up to speed.

I think the biggest source of potential concern is the notion that these things are Vanderweele's and therefore we don't know precisely what they're capable of, both separately from him and in terms of what he's designed them to do.

That said, I also think it's a valid assumption, yes.

Right. Some of that risk is going to be minimized by bringing back only parts, rather than the entire thing.

My first plan had been to try to download their processing code whole cloth, but I got talked out of that.

And now the plan is to vivisect something that looks like an elder god.

I get it, it's gross as hell, but I haven't come up with another way to bring its capability back for Zee while minimizing the risk to everybody else. It's the best I've got so far.

I'm actually questioning the likelihood that you'll get out of this attempt alive. With regards to the process itself...well, I've heard of worse things.
