True, but influencing our dreams, i.e our minds, is a far cry from influencing reality.

Of course, altering our perception is one thing, but altering reality is another. If we believe that tomatoes will kill us, but they are not actually going to kill us, our belief doesn't make it the truth.

I'm less concerned with solipsism and more concerned with Last Thursdayism.

Ordinarily I would have agreed, but we have concrete evidence here of someone's fundamental memories being altered.

One group is wrong. Either horses existed, or they never did, and were always chocobos. We remember horses, but it may be just as likely that those memories were fake. If we extend that, how can we be sure of anything we remember? The world could have been created a week ago and our memories implanted, for all we know.

Wouldn't that just be a variant on the other two? Whether horses existed or not is independent of us being in some sort of computer simulation.
