[2] joint post!
Hi, everyone. Shirogane-san and I had an idea we wanted to approach the rest of you with. We were discussing the impact Retrospec seems to have on its users, and what we might be able to find out about that connection.
Thank you, Narukami.
Through all of the memory issues facing us, there seems to be one constant: the presence or absence of the Retrospec app. Those with the app on their phones have a certain memory, those without it have another. Logically, only one group can be right. Either horses and faceless fruit once existed, or they never have. One group has had its memories tampered with. Either Retrospec is the cause of this tampering, or it is inoculating us to it.
With that in mind, we’d like to ask for volunteers to cease all usage of Retrospec for one week. We know it’s a lot to ask, but no other normal activities should be restricted.
Indeed. And as a further control group, we’d like some other volunteers to refrain from using their phone at all during this time period-- this way, we can isolate if it is Retrospec, something else on our technology, or this hypothesis is completely false.
We don’t have any compensation that we can offer you for this experiment other than the possibility of answers. We hope this is compelling enough on its own, though if you insist on some kind of payment, we’ll try to think of something.
Knowledge is, ideally, its own reward. But yes. Something.
Let us know if you have any questions, and, of course, if you’d like to volunteer. Thanks for your time.
( ooc: you can check out ooc information about this post right on over here! in short, nothing will actually happen as a result of staying off the network. anyway, both yu and naoto will be responding to replies here! )
Thank you, Narukami.

sort of
i mean twitter is kinda hit and miss but like thats how i always know somethin went down
its not like a newspaper or magazine is gonna fly off the rack and hit me in the face when something new happens right

You're very trusting of the internet...
But what I mean is getting the truth about Retrospec, and their connection to the hallucinomemories we've all been experiencing.

holy shot
what if it does
wait
shot
shiite
omg
this is so ducking annoying
no subject
Wait, are you saying what if someone tweeting about things being strange makes those strange things real?
no subject
u would type ducking on purpose
yeah
maybe not tweeting specifically but if were applying some sort of reality altering abilities to a ducking app then why not
god darn it
what
UGH
MASHED POTATOES
no subject
[ farewell his next text takes a moment to come through because MASHED POTATOES in all caps has actually killed him ]
I'll pray for you.
Anyway, you might be onto something. There was a post on the network about the fruit not long before it all became, well, real.

[ That may or may not be intentional.
The ducking. Not the mashed potatoes. Definitely some intentional ducking going around here. ]
so its like dont think about the form of your destroyer etc
thats messed up
and also unlikely but idek what 2 believe anymore
either the app has the ability to make unreal sheet real or the ppl who are logging and reviewing our convos r getting some weird ideas from it
no subject
It seems like it, maybe. If there is someone from Retrospec reading all of our conversations, couldn't they bring more convenient ideas to life?
no subject
im pretty sure these people r up the way crazy
no subject
Is it a good idea to be insulting the people who have so much power over us on their own network?
no subject
it would b nice 2 know that we have something more secure tho
no subject
I wonder if that's possible. Any device with Retrospec on it, even if you're using a different app, might be at risk.

im no comp wiz kid so idk how to do it but im sure theres like multiple layers of encryption and stuff u can do right?
i mean thats how the deep web works
bouncing stuff off multiple servers so its basically untraceable

I wonder if there's anyone experienced with technology that I could ask.
no subject
we could do a call out or something?
