For one thing, no secret handshakes or phrases? Not even dramatic meeting locations? The trying rating is about half a star if that. And I'm almost bored to tears with the whole back and forth about what's going on. Not bored enough to give you a cheat sheet, but still. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Characters who have been in game for more than one month will find they can change their profile pictures; newcomers are locked into their first choice. At various points throughout the day users will be sent images of themselves from behind, regardless of where they are. There doesn't seem to be any way to catch whoever might be taking and sending these, however, especially since being alone in a room doesn't seem to be a deterrent.

I just still don't get it at all. If we're so interesting and important that Retrospec has to keep an eye on us, specifically? Then why did they let people go?

But if there isn't anything special about us, and Retrospec can afford to just let Officer Amicia fall off their radar? Then why us?

Amicia was the hot one with the dog that moved away, right. I mean can they actually *stop* someone from moving out of the country? 'Cause if they could I think we'd have bigger problems.

I was about to say that maybe they could, it would be an easy thing to make you forget that you wanted to.

But, so far as we can tell, Retrospec hasn't been removing memories from anyone? Just reverting all the changes they themselves made, if they leave the app?

But. It means there IS a way to just reverse this all. Things could go back to normal, if we find how Retrospec is doing it to the people they're letting go or who leave.

We could fix this.

Well. That wins for the strangest thing I've heard someone being able to do so far.

But do you have any idea how you can do it? When you learned it, why you can use that kind of power? Can you still keep a hold of who you are now even in the face of this? If so, then, okay, maybe we can have it both ways.
