The year I turned 14 we had a massive heatwave and it was 33 degrees for a few days that summer. That was our record high.

It could be worse. Were we in Florida, 40 would not be entirely unbelievable at points, and very very humid. Thankfully we are not. So, I would say 36 is, let us hope, as high as it gets in August.
