hey everyone! it's been a little while, so I have two things for you all.

the first is that I've written up everything we saw on the ghost trip I organized late last month. if you'd like to hear the details, let me know and I'll send over the document.

the second is that I'm starting an advice column! I need things to write advice about, so feel free to comment with things you'd like help with. I promise I'll try my best to make it good advice.

I'm definitely returning as a teacher next year and I need the experience!

I don't think you're obligated to tell anyone anything.
they should understand your feelings if they're close to you.

but......

a burden shared is a burden halved. if you feel guilty about it then trust your friend and tell them.

but what if its something really bad that will almost definitely change the way my friend is seen by this friend

real friends like you for who you are, not who they think you should be.
I recently got a memory from my other life that I wasn't really proud of. it was... awful, to be honest.
but while we can't change what we've done, we can still change what we do.
all you can ever do is keep moving forward.

no, you're right. bad things ARE better left behind us
but if your friend is debating telling someone or not, if they feel guilty, then that's the same thing as carrying it around.
there are some things that you just can't handle alone.
even if it's a stranger that your friend tells, that's something. better than keeping it in and agonizing over it

also, tell your friend that I'm always here to listen even if I don't know them. sometimes it helps to talk to someone who isn't involved at all
