I may or may not be talking to people who are working with some people over doing some work in unreal space. They might be able to bring the missing people back using help from the Retrospec people, however I've been told that this will also probably bring an unwelcomed visitor to the city as well. Not the monsters, but I'm pretty sure that those are bugs that will fix when the people come back. No, they're talking about something a lot bigger and badder then elephants and such. Which means we need to get ready just in case we have some giant mecha-monster stomping into the city. idk if anyone else got the warning, but I'm making the announcement now. TL;DR? They can't keep this open for too much longer I would think. Maybe a week or something close? I can't see this lasting longer then a month without having some issue crop up.

One week is a manageable deadline for the city to prepare, but what does it take for Retrospec to take a week to start finding the missing people?

I have at least one person I know IRL that's been able to ask me about stuff. He's were I got the warning directly.

I think it has something to do with keeping the space/time fabric from ripping apart and sending us all to our doom. Or whatever unreality that they are stuck in is called.

So, what I draw from that is that all of the rest of the monsters too come from "unreality".

You never know. Things can't always be full of monsters and NPCs standing around talking like everything is fine.

Yes. It's an over-simplification but that's what it is. Almost like scenery but the PCs can interact with it better.

Scenery was placed down by someone. These people existed before, without Retrospec. Without getting into the existential theories some people hold, I understand the analogy at least.
