yo. looks like there's still some residual effects coming up, but they should be pretty harmless since the kid was in charge of redistribution. she says it should be "cool". just don't do some damn idiot thing about them and you should be fine. this is absolutely not in my job description but the intern's busy and half of r&d is still banned and hr is on honeymoon. so you'll just have to deal with the lack of fancy bullshit. anyway. good luck or whatever. Wendy Guo Security Retr ![]() As of this post, normal lemons now exist alongside the dancing variety!
As a reminder, a thread from this post with at least five consecutive comments from you is this month's qualification for a free regain! Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. New characters will find that the first image they put as their userpic is locked in for the month, though it will be able to be changed in October. |
Matt's overflow
Matt -> Mary
Yes exactly. Better think twice before pushing unnecessary buttons or jumping straight into testing exciting new features.
Even the programmers on our side are stumped by the app so far. It could be advanced technology. It could also have to do with how we perceive things. We might have been purposely blinded to the secrets of the app the same way we didn't notice that horses were missing until it was installed.
Are any of your friends on the list? I was speaking earlier with another senior from your high school, Ayano. She's new to this also.
[ Your uncle gave her some life advice and now Ayano thinks Matt is the coolest adult around. It might not be just Eren popping in to ask for an adult's perspective much longer. ]

Shouto, Cutter, Izuku, and apparently one of my teachers? Mr. Aizawa.

I spoke with Cutter on the first day, asked him to tell me the basics. I don't think he knew I was blind. [ He's laughing, as she can imagine. ]

And the glasses were a stroke of luck.

Luck running into a store associate willing to spend the time describing glasses to me and giving honest feedback about which looked the best. You didn't think I picked them up without any help did you?
no subject
And I'm kidding.
But you do have good glasses, the clerk was right.

Can you describe the unreality twists for me?
The forest map sounds like unusual decor for a tech company's office. Is there anything related to the application or the company located there?

We would walk through a door in the basement and end up somewhere completely different.
As if stepping into a different world.
One place was an abandoned ship wreck completely underwater.
We had to wear diving suits and find a key that the captain held.
And another place was like something out of a fantasy with an alien inhabitants who asked us to father herbs and fish for them.
I didn't see anything else.

[ That would be another big motive for keeping people out of the building. ]
no subject
It might have been like that because of the unreality twists.
The doors are just how we got to them.

What were the Retrospec employees you met like?
Re: Matt's overflow
It's a perfectly good name!
And Matt is fine.
Figuring out the app takes a little extra patience but thankfully I have years of experience learning how to text and use other apps with the help of a screen reader. Texting seems to be easy assuming my messages aren't strange in some way no one mentioned.
I haven't used any of the other features yet. Have you?
Re: Matt's overflow
been using this app since february so i reckon i have
it's just a big social media app like the rest

I work as an assistant district attorney. What about you Promto? A student at the local university?
no subject
can switch to voice if it's easier? not that i'm doubting your ability to... not handle the texting
[uhm]
i'm kinda surrounded by lawyers
i know who to go to if i ever get into trouble huh? lol
i'm a photography student at recolle u

Hopefully you'll never be in a situation where you need a lawyer. As a photographer it wouldn't hurt to have a legal contact who specializes in copyrights though. Just in case you have to protect your hard work. [ Oh gosh he's rambling about legal jargon again isn't he? Come on brain, take a break from work. ]
What type of photography are you most interested in?
no subject
[he's going to capitalize on this copyrights advice]
i like all sorts of photography to be honest! but... my favorite is being able to take pictures of animals
spontaneous pictures too

I think I can squeeze you into my friendship agenda.
Nature photography. Life photography. Those are good subjects. I can't appreciate a photograph the way most people do but I know the significance of a glimpse of a wild animal or a family pet. A good description of a photo can still be emotionally moving.

She's the young woman who attends Mass with you sometimes, right? I'm sorry to hear she's been involved in this mess as well.
Off and on since this past January, if you can believe that.
no subject
Does that mean you've forgotten and then re-remembered the odd events more than once?
no subject
But I'm sorry to say that if you're looking for someone who can make sense of all of this, I am not the man to speak to. I must confess that I prefer to avoid thinking about the mechanics of it all whenever possible.

I've been told by some friends from Recolle PD that they've been gathering information. I'll bring my questions to the officers who are investigating our situation.
Knowing them they're doing everything in their power to uncover the truth. They'll make this right in the end.
