yo. looks like there's still some residual effects coming up, but they should be pretty harmless since the kid was in charge of redistribution. she says it should be "cool". just don't do some damn idiot thing about them and you should be fine.

this is absolutely not in my job description but the intern's busy and half of r&d is still banned and hr is on honeymoon. so you'll just have to deal with the lack of fancy bullshit.

anyway. good luck or whatever.

As of this post, normal lemons now exist alongside the dancing variety!

As a reminder, a thread from this post with at least five consecutive comments from you is this month's qualification for a free regain!

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. New characters will find that the first image they put as their userpic is locked in for the month, though it will be able to be changed in October.
This is an overflow to the post located here. Feel free to continue old threads on it or to post new ones.

[Continued from here!]

There's always the chance that it contains some direct links to Retrospec. It could be the favored eatery of its top brass, or perhaps important information is hidden behind the front of that restaurant.

The possibilities are endless! Dismissing it so easily could prove to be a grave oversight.

Oh

Are you going to investigate it?
falsepretentious: (sore wa)

[personal profile] falsepretentious 2017-09-05 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course. That is my exact intention. To find answers, no stone can be left unturned!

Are you going to investigate the food too?

[He's curious... Maybe he'll check it out, too.]

Do you take me for a rank amateur? Absolutely I will. One cannot investigate a restaurant without investigating its food as well!
strawberrypunch: ([Surprise] silence)

So youre a pro investigator?
falsepretentious: (too smug)

[personal profile] falsepretentious 2017-09-07 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Hardly.

But with my track record of wrapping my head around complex situations, I may as well be one.

Track record?

Like what?

That's almost too easy to answer. You see, I've solved more puzzles and mystery games than you could even begin to count!
falsepretentious: (just one thought)

There's no end to your questions, is there.

I admit that I used a vague term as an umbrella for several different types of games that fit that description. Mystery-themed board games and video games, simulated murder mysteries... Stuff of that sort.

I dont play games much

Are they hard?
falsepretentious: (sideways glance)

[personal profile] falsepretentious 2017-09-16 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Now that question is extraordinarily broad! That depends on game to game. Different games are of different levels of difficulty, and in most video games you can adjust the difficulty level. In terms of mystery games, with well-written puzzles the difficulty also depends on how good you are of thinking of solutions to the problems.

Of course, some games are difficult just because they are shoddily designed and counter intuitive.

[No Tatsuma you just didn't touch technology for most of your life by some bizarre miracle.]

It's only natural to end up knowing a lot about something that you engage in often.

Heh. It's an invaluable ability given the overwhelming smorgasbord of mysteries that we've been served. I'll do my best to guide the rest of you to whatever answer may await us.
