yo. looks like there's still some residual effects coming up, but they should be pretty harmless since the kid was in charge of redistribution. she says it should be "cool". just don't do some damn idiot thing about them and you should be fine.

this is absolutely not in my job description but the intern's busy and half of r&d is still banned and hr is on honeymoon. so you'll just have to deal with the lack of fancy bullshit.

anyway. good luck or whatever.

As of this post, normal lemons now exist alongside the dancing variety!

As a reminder, a thread from this post with at least five consecutive comments from you is this month's qualification for a free regain!

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. New characters will find that the first image they put as their userpic is locked in for the month, though it will be able to be changed in October.

What, put up a big ad asking for local ghost hunters, busters,
and any other profession dealing with them?
How would we even screen them?
windeity: (CALM ♫ soft glow)

[personal profile] windeity 2017-09-05 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
exactly that.
i would just like to see what kind of resumes and references these people have. like a normal job interview?
given everything that has happened here, we are bound to find someone.

What about those people that have reels or their own shows?
Would they still have an interview to go through?
windeity: (THINKING ♫ thoughts)

it wouldn't hurt? you know people can make anything look real on tv or the internet.

[personal profile] missingache 2017-09-05 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
That's true. So that means they gotta just have a harder interview.
windeity: (CALM ♫ heh)

if there is more than one person asking the questions, it probably makes it harder for them to lie.
it is definitely worth a shot. nothing else to do here, right?

Except go to school. So this would have to be an after class or weekend thing.

most of my classes are in the morning and my work shifts are in the afternoon but i can work around that.

[Why is this a plan he's really going with.]

plus it is september. people are bound to get into the spirit of things especially with halloween coming up.

[Maybe these two just are protags at heart who want to solve everything?]

I don't work, but Saturdays tend to be no good for me.

Oh yeah, Halloween isn't that far off. Though don't get my brother involved. He doesn't know anything about ghosts or possessing technology.

[Let them do things before their summer vacation...is over.]

we can work around it. if i have to i will trade shifts with someone because ghost busters are very important.

it's not. i've been helpfully reminded by someone off-retrospec that there are 60 days left. nice to know my regular texts still work, too. but okay, duly noted. it is a serious business venture that must be treated seriously.

but it also might not hurt to have a "normal" opinion either.

[At least in this place they have a chance for another.]

This makes me wish I had more friends in school, one or two of them might have wound up as ghost hunters.

Only 60 days??? Gotta work fast then.

So a skeptic?
windeity: (GAZE ♫ yeah about that...)

[personal profile] windeity 2017-09-12 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
well a new school year is starting? it's a good enough time to start making new friends. i would offer up my own friends but i just moved here so i am still working on that.

so i have heard! like in theory that sounds like plenty of time but with school and everything 60 days is going to disappear really fast.

a skeptic. skeptics are more prone to picking apart what plan will not work but then it is a matter of making sure it's not someone who is TOO skeptical. it's a really delicate balance.
missingache: ([11] But now I’m insecure)

[personal profile] missingache 2017-09-15 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't have that much time to make friends. Too much school work, and I have one here but I don't think she's ghost hunting material.

It'll be over before we know it, so I think I'll look up some sites that might help with an ad after this.

What is too skeptical?
windeity: (PEEK ♫ shamlessly)

[personal profile] windeity 2017-09-15 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
even if you're busy with school there is always time to make friends, i think. probably. you have to deal with these people in your classes all the time anyway so it kind of benefits two different ways. or at least that is what i am going with as soon as classes start and i have to start making my own friends.

let me know if you find any good ones.

but too skeptical? that would be like...not believing in anything, or picking apart every possibility with a way that it wouldn't work or things couldn't be true. you don't want someone naive who'll fall for just about anything, but you don't want someone who argues every step of the way either. so. a healthy amount of realism with a little bit of idealism? i don't know if that makes any sense.
missingache: ([16] And I care what you think)

[personal profile] missingache 2017-09-17 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll think about it.

[The friend making thing. It sounds lie too much of a hassle right now.]

I will!

It does. I don't know if I've ever met anyone like that, but I guess that just means I have to talk to more people. Maybe a teacher might be a good idea?
windeity: (GRIN ♫ tentative at best)

[personal profile] windeity 2017-09-18 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[Someday Shiori will understand the power of friendship, but for now:]

good enough. if you change your mind about that, you can always text me, too.

a teacher would make sense if you found one that was open-minded and supported the whole exploratory education thing. or even a teacher that studies the occult and supernatural? i have no idea if they have those here but there's bound to be someone in the history department. the two of them are pretty tied closely together. i'll get a feel for my professors next week and see if i can find a good one.
