In order to make it your best work, and the best expression of your creative desires, it should be your work first and foremost.

If you struggle once you have started, then asking for help is reasonable. But the starting point of your inspiration should come from you.

I don't know what you want me to tell you. Art is a deeply personal experience. How I get my creativity and enhance my work may not be how you would get yours.

As an example though: I enjoy people watching.

Why would it be? People sit in coffee shops and watch the world, including all the people in it, go by all the time.

It's no different to people stopping to stare at me when I am sketching outdoors. If I were to be offended every time that happened, I would get no work done.
