Be honest with me. Am I losing my mind if I find this Retrospec package comforting to look at for some reason? Or can someone grace me with some artistic interpretation as to why these functionally useless silverware washes me with some wave of relief.

"Memories", sure. But what did these cutlery do to deserve this?

If I had to guess, and mind you this is purely speculation on my part, it represents an exerted will over functionality. The artist has given new image to these objects once taken for granted, and while their use as tools in the practical sense has been removed, they have been given new life as something else, something unique and avant.

I think bending spoons was something people did on tv to show that they have psychic powers. I remember reading that there's actually a trick they use though.
