Hello Retrospec! Last week on Joanne’s network post, me and my ReVA coworker Terra Mason challenged each other to see who could get the most virtual candies. We finally had the time to sit down and count, and here are the results! The winner, by one single treat... ...is Terra, with 37 virtual candies! Congratulations, Terra! (✩´꒳`✩)ﾉ For everyone who supported me, your cupcakes will be ready for pick up during my 1-6pm shift today, so stop by the Confectionary for them anytime between then! Thanks for reading!

Hello. Shall we do this exchange here or elsewhere? [ before she's mistaken for a regular customer who actually has to pay for her cupcakes. ]

[She gestures to the little stand she's set up on one of the tables, with a sign that says "Team Arisato Cupcakes". On it is three trays of cupcakes, all with little toothpick flags stuck into them that has a name and the flavor of cupcake.]

You'll have to search a bit for yours, though.

[ She bows politely, and looks for her name. Strawberry, matcha... and she removes someone else's toothpick flag and swaps it with hers so she can get chili chocolate. ]

[She lightly smacks Celine's hand with a pair of tongs.]

No swapping, that's for someone else. [She takes a look at the label.] You wanted to try chili chocolate??

[hadeir]

[ How dare you, she is a princess. Well, daddy's little princess. Whatever. No one smacks her hands with a pair of tongs! She frowns. ]

They wouldn't know. Why did you give me buttercream lemon vanilla?

[ Not that she doesn't like it, just that chili choco sounds so much better. ]

I would know! And anyways, you didn't specify which flavor you wanted? It was either that or chai. Not very many people want chili chocolate so I only made a small batch of those.

You don't have to let them know. And chai is also a good flavor. [ Come on, just give her the spicy cupcakes. ]

[complementing]

Nope, sorry! The chili chocolate ones are for friends so I can't let you have them.

[FRIENDS COME FIRST.]

[hadeir]

You mean we're not friends?

[ Celine could understand that since they're not close. But it also hurts a little, especially because she missed out on a delicious cupcake flavor. ]

[A bright smile!]

We could be friends starting now, and you could come over to my place sometime so I can make you chili chocolate cupcakes?

[hadeir]

[ That is an excellent, excellent offer, one where Celine will not incur any losses. But wait, hear her counteroffer first. ]

Can your friend starting now also get her chili chocolate cupcake now?

[complementing]

No.

[She pats her shoulder.]

Be patient. And don't push it.

[hadeir]

Alright.

[ No, not alright. But she'll be mature about it. Look, she'll switch the names back and get her cupcake. ]

I guess I'll wait for you after your shift?

Sure, that's fine!

[hadeir]

[ And so Celine becomes that annoying customer who orders nothing but refillable coffee, making her free cupcakes last through the afternoon as she hits the books and uses this time to study. Hurry up, Minako. Ugh, why do you have to work? ]
