[ The first thing that should be obvious to anyone viewing this video is that Yosuke Hanamura (
youraffection) is not alone. The second thing may be that he is having a very bad day. It’s a shot of him literally tied to the bottom of the school’s flagpole with several layers of rope that Eleanor Lamb (notyourutopian) has just finished tying off. Standing off to one side is Yukiko Amagi (burningblossoms), holding up a small sign stating: 'Local Boy learns a valuable lesson about consent.' She doesn’t say anything yet, but there’s a grimly satisfied look on her face as she looks at the camera. Yosuke groans, trying to duck his head and hide his face. But let’s be real, who else would it be?
Eleanor gives the ropes a firm jerk once the knot is tied, to make sure they won't come loose without help, and then steps a bit to the side, her hands on her hips as she not-quite-glares at Yosuke. ]
So, Yosuke. What have we learned today?
[ Yosuke grimaces, what’s left of his dignity probably properly trampled under their shoes by now. ] Are you kidding me...?
[ Eleanor glances from him to the camera to Yukiko, then back to him. ] The sooner you answer, the sooner this is all over.
[ Yosuke sighs, hanging his head. ] "Ask first"...
Mmhmm. Ask first because...?
Because if I don’t someone’s going to steal my phone and take embarrassing videos--hey, wait--are you live streaming???
That's not it. And don't worry about the camera, just answer the question.
Oh man, this is... [ Grumble, grumble. ] "Ask first because..."
[ Yukiko steps closer, eyes fixed on Yosuke’s as he hesitates, her mouth set in a dangerous line. ] Because why. No mumbling.
[ Boy is Yukiko scary when she’s...Yukiko. ] B-Because no girl should ever be forced into an awkward situation, romantic or otherwise??
Good! Perfect, [ Eleanor claps her hands together. ] I think this was a good learning experience for everyone, right? Okay. I guess we're done?
Yep! Time to head home. Wanna hit the bakery on the way, Eleanor?
W-Wait a sec! What about me!?
That sounds great, Yukiko. We've certainly earned it, [ Eleanor completely ignores Yosuke, instead moving to pick up her backpack from where she set it nearby. ] Don't forget to leave the sign.
Great. I’ll drive then. Let’s go. [ Yukiko sets the sign down by Yosuke's feet and gets her own bag before the two girls disappear off-screen.
The sound of footsteps provides a telling beat to Yosuke’s subsequent shouts after them. And, naturally, he’s left alone with his shame. If alone also means whoever is watching this. ]
You’ve gotta be kidding me...!
[ But then, suddenly, a possible savior arrives. A Karkat Vantas (
alienates) approaches Yosuke and stops, right in front of the camera. He looks backwards, stares directly at the screen for a moment, before just shrugging to pull out his own phone to take a picture of Yosuke. He then walks over, pats the guy on the shoulder, and just fucking leaves. Just kidding. Yosuke is still boned. ]
