retrospec | watching x-files with no lights on, we're dans la maison

Happy 3 AM, fellow Retrospectres who can't/won't sleep because of all the nightmares and ghosts and memory fog and all that (and happy morning to anyone who checks their phone later, I guess)! I'm going to fall asleep if I don't start talking to someone soon and I'm trying to make it until dawn.

IF YOU ARE AWAKE RIGHT NOW, PLEASE WEIGH IN ON SOME/ALL OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS (or you can message me when you wake up, that's fine too) :

-If this fog thing lasts for much longer, isn't it going to get in the way of Trick-or-Treating? If it rains (/creepy memory fogs) on Halloween, what do little kids (/university students who don't really get to celebrate Halloween in their home countries and would like to) do instead? Do I have to make backup plans or can we start some sort of safety Halloween caravan to protect the little kids (/occasional university students with no cool powers or survival instincts) from the monsters?

-Dave and I made a Finnish-language movie about magic pirates (and some other stuff, lots of symbolism, it's very deep), does anyone want to see it? -What are your top three coffee places in the city, I'm going to try all of them by the end of the month

-Is this better or worse than when half of us disappeared and there were monsters running around in the daytime

-What's the most comfortable lounge to sleep in on the Recolle U campus (during daylight hours, so please no big windows)

What character should I make in your game?

goronyan plays a cat person but his bf or whatever is a dragon person but that's expansion only

my fc character is a lalafell

boy characters are always bigger than girls but roegadyns (like orcs I guess) highland hyurs (muscle humans) and boy au ra (dragons) are big, elezen are tall and have pointed ears but not beefcake arms

roes can be colorful

you can do every class and job with any character it's just what you want to look like

I think I'd want an elezen, it's fine so long as I'm really tall and can do magic or something cool. They're just like elves, right?

you probably won't see the elezen neck except in cutscenes

roegadyns have weird noses and highland hyurs have muscles but they're just normal humans

whichever one of those things bothers you least you should do that one because you just want to be big you don't care about lore and stuff

I thought you said the story and roles or whatever were the same no matter what I pick? The only thing I have to go on is appearance then

the story after you start not before

like everyone is in the city now but we had different backgrounds the different races have options that only matter if you want to come up with a background otherwise it's just looks

and your starting class will change what city you start in but you can eventually go everywhere and do all the classes so whatever

Wait I didn't know that!! That sounds important! I have to look into all the backgrounds now to make sure I'm not missing out on something!

the starting cities are decided by starting class remember

elemental magic starts in desert
arcane magic with pet starts in place with sea
healing magic starts in forest

other classes too but those are the magic ones
