Unwelcome Mystery

I got a package from Retrospec... and the item inside is strange. A kataginu, which is a kind of sleeveless jacket worn more commonly a few hundred years ago in Japan. It also happens to match the one I saw part of in that strange and vivid dream I had several weeks ago, which is unnerving me.

There's a family crest on the back as well, which is stranger still. I recognise the clan and considering the rest of that 'dream' I had it's... well, I feel odd just looking at it.

If anyone has a rational explanation for this I would gladly welcome it right now.

They mailed me a fondue fork. Nothing more complicated than a simple, metal fondue fork, and I have no idea why. I have no strange memories about it, nothing. It is just this little fork in a box, and yet I don't feel like I should get rid of it for some reason.

I have no rational explanation for any of this, and any explanations I can come up with only sound more and more insane.

A fondue fork in a box is stranger than my kataginu in many ways... I have the same feeling of wanting to keep my 'gift' safe, however. More and more peculiar.

What is this company doing? What... dare I say power do they hold? All the strangeness going on started when the app downloaded itself to our phones and every explanation really does sound mad...

I worry a little that my fork will have something to do with another vision, and hints that one might be coming. And, the fact that they seem to feel free to invade our lives as much as they do says that they both have the power to do so, and no issues with doing so.

If that does happen please let us know, and I shall do the same if another occurs. What I have already relates to the vision I've had... if a pattern emerges we'll know for sure they are connected.

So right now, we are essentially at their mercy and have no clear way of doing anything about it. Not a pleasant thought.

Or, if not connected, that there is at least a great deal of eerie coincidence involved. Certainly, I will appreciate knowing for sure one way or another. Being in this position is anything but what I want to be in.

But, they cannot keep us in the dark forever, can they?

Surely not... we can only happen that some kind of answer is offered soon. I suspect they won't want to share the whole story so easily, though.

I imagine not. They seem to enjoy being circumspect with all such things, so I am not hoping for it to happen too swiftly. The odds simply do not favor a quick, easy outcome.

I cannot help but wonder what their motive even is...

I have wondered from the start, and yet there is nothing that tells us the truth of it, and the worries continue to mount. I fear we will know eventually, though. This secret cannot last forever.

I suppose we can only watch and wait until then.

That appears to be the case. But I will remain vigilant for now, in case something reveals itself.
