If you haven't met me before, this is Officer Hitori Togusa with the RPD. I have a request, for anyone comfortable sharing them. The photos that you're being sent? Could you keep an eye out for any kind of mirror or reflective surface anywhere in the shot? If you find them, could you send them along to me? We have software the might be able to find more in the shots than you'd be able to.
In addition, anyone who would like to make privacy complaints, I can only beg you to do so. We do not have a formal investigation into Retrospec at this time, but that may change if enough citizens come forwards with complaints. If you can, I'd even ask you to try to file them with people NOT on the application. I want to see if they'll notice anything wrong at that point.
Speaking of, there are a number of detectives, officers, and support personnel currently on the application, but rather than naming them outright, I'll leave it up to them to offer their services to the people of Recolle. I'm not sure who has a full case load right now and who doesn't.

Chloe Bouchard At the risk of being labeled something of a troublemaker, I will fill out an incident report with the police.
Chloe Bouchard Based on experience, I will stick to spoken accounts however, as I suspect even a printed copy of the images would not be visible.
Chloe Bouchard I have seen even physical images sent by Retrospec change in the past depending on who was looking, or if I remembered something about them.
Chloe Bouchard It makes the photocopy I received last month worrisome.

Hitori Togusa Talk to somebody else, and then come to one of us, I suspect we're all curious about whether or not anyone else will react to the images.
Hitori Togusa But from what I can tell, they can actually see the photos? I just don't know if they'll take it seriously enough to warrant an investigation.

Chloe Bouchard I can do that, and I think I know ways to phrase it so that it won't be odd that I have a blank sheet of paper with me.

Chloe Bouchard You might be right, though, and even without the photos, if there's enough of an attempt to get their attention, they have to do something at some point.

Hitori Togusa Let's be clear, this is a bad move on my part. I'm probably going to get in a lot of trouble for doing this. But I'm willing to burn some of my Departmental good will if it gets something moving.
Hitori Togusa This all would have been easier if Retrospec had just added our Chief in the first place.

Chloe Bouchard A strong possibility, yes, if they don't think that anything is there.
Chloe Bouchard And it almost certainly would have helped to have your chief and a judge on the app so that someone could at least see what is happening.
Chloe Bouchard But I suspect that they know this, which is why they haven't.

Hitori Togusa You know? Okay. Thank you for hitting on something that has been bothering me about this entire setup.
Hitori Togusa If Retrospec has this ability to put their spying application on anyone's phone, they can't get rid of it, and now Retrospec can see everything they're doing?
Hitori Togusa Why are they wasting it on us? If Mr. Halloway there is so bored, why not drag some more interesting people onto the platform? Like our Mayor, or other politicians, or judges, or our Chief?

Chloe Bouchard And since this technology is well beyond what qualifies as technology and borders on the supernatural, that question becomes much bigger.
Chloe Bouchard But since we each have our own visions, and nobody else seems to have them, that almost seems to be the biggest focus.
Chloe Bouchard Something about the things we are seeing must be the reason they choose us.
Chloe Bouchard Though that is eerily close to admitting that they are actually tied to us, not foisted upon us, and I still don't like that idea.

Hitori Togusa We're back to my least favorite theory: that there is something else tying us all together, and Retrospec is just tracking it, not causing it.
Hitori Togusa All else fails, maybe it's us that are the problem.

Chloe Bouchard It is my least favorite as well, but there is I suppose another option if we are going into the realm of fiction.
Chloe Bouchard What if they are tracking us, but because there is something special about us and they are using it?

Chloe Bouchard I believe most who have had this happen would prefer I not share their names, but yes it has happened.
Chloe Bouchard I am willing to confirm that my body has undergone changes too.
Chloe Bouchard I have always been in shape, but recently I have felt more limber than normal.
Chloe Bouchard As in, on par with a gymnast on the high beams limber.
Chloe Bouchard The change was quite literally overnight.

Chloe Bouchard You have a good reason to do so right now, but I prefer to keep their names private unless they go public.
Chloe Bouchard I've spoken with Grel, and she confirmed that I am in good health, that the changes seemed natural, including my hair.
Chloe Bouchard I have been suggesting her to those with concerns, since she is on the app.

Chloe Bouchard It is certainly a disturbing possibility, as it implies that there is something very special about us.
Chloe Bouchard After all, are they thinking of using us somehow?

Hitori Togusa I'd want the opposite.
Hitori Togusa People suddenly getting magic powers and weapons for whatever reason? And I knew who they were before it happened?

Chloe Bouchard And that might actually be a reasonable response.

Hitori Togusa What about people like Officer Amicia? Gladio. Friend of mine. We know it's possible to leave the network, because he was here, and then when he moved away from the city, he left Retrospec.
Hitori Togusa Going theory is that he might not even remember this place now. Certainly wouldn't remember horses.
Hitori Togusa But if they wanted to register and keep an eye on him, they wouldn't have let him leave.

Chloe Bouchard I noticed that Ryoga was gone the other day, and I am comfortable sharing that he had incredible strength.
Chloe Bouchard If he doesn't have the power now, then I don't know what that means.

Hitori Togusa Ryoga? Darn, I liked that kid.
Hitori Togusa That suggests that the memories and abilities are coming from Retrospec, that they aren't something to do with us, and we're back on the idea that this is arbitrary.
Hitori Togusa What determines who gets to remember they were a samurai, and who learns they were a mass murderer?

Chloe Bouchard And even if it does not mean it's coming from them, it means they're directly linked.
Chloe Bouchard And I do not know, though it seems tied to each person singularly.

Hitori Togusa We're back on that other conversation. That these are memories from an entirely different person. Past life or not.
Hitori Togusa The only thing we can know for sure is that Retrospec has more answers than they're sharing with us.

Chloe Bouchard I think it's an almost unavoidable conversation, as unavoidable in truth as the fact that we do not actually know the answer.
Chloe Bouchard And I think the only way we truly can know is to take the answers for ourselves somehow.
