Hello Users,

For those of you who are new: Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

For all, new and old: Please be advised that should you go above and beyond the call of duty for Mr. Halloway's little game in the coming days, there may be a reward granted or information given. 100% completion would be the goal for that, should you have an interest. If you have no interest in the matter, please feel free to carry on as usual.

R&D will not be handling further communiques for this month, or possibly the next few months. This should not, of course, have any impact on your usage of Retrospec™.

The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that.

Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times.

As of this post green fruits and flowers of this color regain their pigment. (Note: this is not all plants. This is just for flowers and fruits!)

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Kazuhira Miller Actually the fact that there's no financial information concerning it is really creeping me out.
Kazuhira Miller I don't even think something that has no real way to earn or spend money can be a company, and as far as I can tell there's no evidence that Retrospec does that.
Kazuhira Miller Ever see one of those movies where something creepy has a human face and nobody knows it's not human until later when they notice it doesn't eat or that it has no shadow? That's what Retrospec is.

Hitori Togusa Hell. You're right, I hadn't seen it put it that way, but you'r right.
Hitor Togusa Even down to the damn building. Okay. There are, for lack of a better term? Times where we can get this thing to appear? And times where we can't. Can't even tell who can and can't see the thing.

Kazuhira Miller The building is even a mask then, huh?
Kazuhira Miller Not that it tells you a whole lot besides, "It wants to look like a company", but considering all the other oddities it's introducing us to, think of how damn weird it will be to see what it really is.

Hitori Togusa It's turned into a site where, I swear, they're trying to feed us information out of it. Keep it so locked up and mysterious that of course we want to break in.
Hitori Togusa It feels like playing into their hands every time I go in there, but what's the alternative? Just ignore information that could help solve this?

Kazuhira Miller I hope it can be solved and it's not just some sort of warning that things are falling apart and we won't be able to put it back together.

Hitori Togusa And, on that front, if there truly is something so big out of even Retrospec's control, and manipulating us is their way of fixing it? We go back to the idea, 'this would be easier if you just told us how to help.'

I kind of want to get to the bottom of this myself.
Kazuhira Miller I mean, if I'm going to have to notice everything strange I'm going to have to think about finding a consistancy just so I can function in everyday life.

Hitori Togusa Hell. That might win the new prize for memories. At least the ones I've heard of.

Hitori Togusa Until the Department recognizes what's going on and opens a formal investigation, I have zero problems with sharing information.

Kazuhira Miller You guys distribute fines and things, right? How far do your records go back?
Kazuhira Miller I could see if there's something off in there.

Hitori Togusa Oh that's actually a pretty good idea. I mean, a really good idea. Wow.
Hitori Togusa Some of that stuff might have drifted into public record? I think? Where can I help you start, because looking through things for the entire city would be a waste of time.

Kazuhira Miller There was nothing in the public ones. I looked through taxes.
Kazuhira Miller No anomalies, no mentions of Retrospec, there's not even mentions of the things that we know are abnormal.
Kazuhira Miller Retrospec is a person without a shadow.

Hitori Togusa I don't know how much I can get you access to, from our side of things, but if you can help me know what to look for?
Hitori Togusa Or, at least, where Retrospec isn't showing up that they should. I know I've tried to file a few statements, we've had Retrospec mentioned in a few public incidents. Maybe it's time to check on those files.

Kazuhira Miller I'll do that. Schedule me in at some point.

Hitori Togusa Oh, let me tell you about this rabbit hole.
Hitori Togusa Short answer is no, partly because handgun registration gets handled through the city's Public Safety Office, not directly by our department.
Hitori Togusa But, after I got sent a handgun by our esteemed hosts, the paperwork didn't come with it, so of course I tried to register it. Obviously an imported gun, I tried to claim the Japanese registration didn't make it through customs. No dice, Public Safety confiscated it, exactly like they should have.

Hitori Togusa And then two days later I got the gun back in the mail with a filled-out registration card.

Kazuhira Miller Huh. Who signed the registration card?
Kazuhira Miller Anything funny about the record other than you knowing the weird circumstances?

Hitori Togusa Chief Public Safety Officer. I mean, the paperwork is perfect. It's just as if they decided to accept it in the first place.
Hitori Togusa I don't know if you'd actually find a form on their end of things.

Kazuhira Miller I guess if a bunch of things like that can be traced to any names that were never on the app, you might have a lead?
Kazuhira Miller At least it's worth a shot. I'll come in and have a look around.
