Have you ever remembered something that makes no sense with the rest of your memories but would explain something about the person you are now?

Please note that I'm not saying that the memories we're getting have made us who we are now or anything like that! I'm just asking if you've experienced something that could explain some things, if one were inclined to believe such nonsense.

I've never liked dogs, and if my memories are to be believed, there might be a reason for that.

On another memory-related topic, has anyone remembered how to use weapons? I'm a little alarmed to find I now know how to use one when just a few days ago, I couldn't fight at all. Please tell me I'm not alone in this.

The memories I've gotten lately did explain why I can be such an asshole to everyone, but... I don't know why I was dressed in a top hat and fancy clothing while I was explaining all that to my peers or whatever.

A top hat is a little much, I'd say. And I'm one for fancy clothes for almost any occasion!

It is a little too much. I guess it's good if you're cosplaying or something but I don't think I was doing that in my memories. And I sure as hell don't want to start doing that now.

Understandable! I suppose you'll have to be on the lookout for a gift from Retrospec in the future, though...

Oh, I've actually received a couple of items from them already. One of which is a school uniform.

I don't know why I'm getting these kinds of outfits from my memories but considering that I'm a model, that may have something to do with it.

Oh, that could explain it! Have you had any indication of being a model in your memories?

Apparently I used to have someone who I had taken under my wing back then. And not to mention a friend from the industry as well. My being a model is one of the consistent things between my memories and what I'm doing right now.

But enough about me - what's with that drawing? You a dog person in your past life or something?

I've got a friend that learned to use swords. He can kick my ass now, it's not fair.

That certainly doesn't sound fair! Did he get a sword too?

Not yet. I'm waiting for the day he gets some huge impractical weapon like yours.

I'd hope everyone doesn't receive weapons quite like mine! I couldn't even lift it until recently!

I remembered being a real estate agent... but I was already a real estate agent so I'm not sure if that counts.

But I did randomly remember how to fight, mid-fight, so that seems kinda close. Did you remember when you were using a weapon, or just randomly?

After using a weapon, but I also remembered how to fight hand-to-hand after a sparring session, so that's interesting.

Yeah, it seems like some things come back to us if we try it, but some things just happen randomly. At least there's kind of a pattern there.

It would be nice if we could get memories whenever we wanted - or stopped the process all together. I think I'd like that best, really!

I dunno, I don't mind the memories too much. But it would be nice to stop the bad ones from coming.

Maybe if we do a bunch of nice things we'll remember nicer stuff.

What do you mean by that? What's happened in those memories you've received?

I was fighting with real weapons.
but the worst part was how incredibly focused I seemed to be on just... getting people out of the way as quickly and effectively as possible.
I've had that feeling in fights sometimes, but it was never FOR REAL. not like that.

I can imagine that was very jarring to remember. What kind of weapons were you using?

a sword. a katana, I guess.
I suppose that's another thing... I have some talent when it comes to martial arts. maybe these memories could explain that too.

[By "some talent" he means that he's an honest-to-god prodigy, but he doesn't like talking about it much.]

I've been curious about that, actually. If our "past lives" or whatever these memories are from have some impact on what we're like now. Whether it's something simple like having a dislike for dogs or something more profound, like fighting ability. It's strange to think about, isn't it?
