001. Text // Kick it right out of frame - does it matter?

You know, this may be a slightly inane question, but since apparently I'm being made to deal with the local social media conspiracy firsthand, this is hardly the stupidest thing I'm going to decide to do. At least, as far as the rest of you lot tend to tell it.

So! While we're all here and blundering our way through this holiday season – does anyone have any idea what the ratio is here for "people remembering reasonably normal lives" set against "people whose past lives were apparently some sort of weird genre-fiction mess"? If you want to describe your particular brand of genre-fiction mess, do feel free, but it's not required.

Asking for a friend, obviously. ♡

i suppose that's true, but to be honest, i'd rather live in a world with magic and monsters or something like that than spend the rest of my days in an elevator myself.
the latter seems very dreary and boring, even with the addition of company and cards.
well, i likely wouldn't end up being the type of person in the former world to go monsterhunting or anything though...
perhaps i'd simply study magic and go to some sort of school for it.
or be a bard!

we can both be bards, in that case. what would your instrument of choice be?

my voice. i've been learning to play the piano recently, which is even less-suited for bards... however, i've been singing since i was quite young. i'm very good too, if i may be so bold to claim.
between the two of us, we make one functioning minstrel.

excellent. we'll start our barding on the morrow...
at some point.
i'm hardly a songwriter, so we'll have to improvise. covering a song, perhaps?

let's see...
musicals, primarily, so i suppose songs that are easy to dance and move to?
which can be quite varied, i'm aware
let's go from your tastes instead.

[ oh thank God. ]

that's because there's simply nothing wrong with them at all
i'd dare to say that musicals are, in fact, the greatest form of art imaginable.
from production to backstage, to the amount of practice and poise necessary for pulling off a good show
the amount of improvisation required and adaptability, quick wit, and such required to handle slip-ups with grace...
yes, musicals truly are a wonder in this world!

the gospel aside, we'll simply have to find one we agree on, and then begin our journey
