You know, this may be a slightly inane question, but since apparently I'm being made to deal with the local social media conspiracy firsthand, this is hardly the stupidest thing I'm going to decide to do. At least, as far as the rest of you lot tend to tell it.

So! While we're all here and blundering our way through this holiday season – does anyone have any idea what the ratio is here for "people remembering reasonably normal lives" set against "people whose past lives were apparently some sort of weird genre-fiction mess"? If you want to describe your particular brand of genre-fiction mess, do feel free, but it's not required.

From the sound of it, most people remember bizarre things! I've spoken to a few people who have had some very strange memories, none of which sound even remotely normal!

So what sort of strange genre-fiction mess have you been remembering?

What makes you think that I have? I could be remembering perfectly normal things and feeling like the odd one out, after all. ♡ As it stands, I'm not finding it anything to make a fuss over - it's strange having memories shoved into my head, but it's not nearly the unpleasant experience everyone's making it out to be.

How about you - where do you fall on this little spectrum we have going?

As I've said, everyone's been remembering strange things! I think it'd be a little odd if your memories were perfectly normal!

My memories have all fallen on the "weird genre-fiction mess" side of things, unfortunately! Though thankfully I haven't recalled anything too unpleasant!

Most of my friends recall worlds with superpowers or had plenty of adventures if they didn't. I myself was part of some sort of traveling band of men that fought monsters.

And thank God for that much, I suppose. Several of the people I know have apparently been remembering things that are positively atrocious.

Oh, I don't know if it's really my place to say, but there's been at least one instance of some sort of entity that rips souls out. ♡ It's lovely, really.

That's a new one even for me! I've heard of people becoming dragons and vampires, but soul removal's new!

I'm not sure! The person I was talking to didn't even have all the details, unfortunately! I'll let you know if he ever does remember that part! ☆

Shadows - manifestations of what people in general repressed. The one I recall fighting is a sentient puddle of water that can sink into sand to disappear, but I also recall confronting people that controlled Personas, like a man who could shoot bullets anywhere he wanted and a man who could create mass illusions.

[Jojo's is confusing enough when one isn't mislead into thinking you're from the same world the Personas are.]

Don't concern yourself, because I suppose it's not terribly important - it's just something that I would assume is an either/or thing? Either you're a dragon or you're not, becoming one is sort of...odd.

That's what I thought as well! It's a bit bizarre, isn't it? It's one of the stranger things I've heard about!

I befriend monsters, if that answers your genre question. Maybe you can get a better idea of our memory demographics through internet polling.

Well, as long as that's our peak strangeness level, perhaps this will work out reasonably well. ♡

Monsters really do seem to be a common theme around here, though most fight them instead of befriending them, from what I've seen.

...I'm still figuring out what they exactly are, but there's a manifestation of our "true selves" that can appear as a humanoid figure and has its own powers at our command.
Mine has control over fire and heat.

Do you just generate those things from nowhere, then? Or, well, does your Persona do that, I suppose is the better question.

Who knows! I suppose we'll have to wait and find out!

Speaking of memories though, there is something I think you should be aware of, but I'd prefer to talk about it in person. Would you care to meet somewhere to discuss it?
