001. Text // Kick it right out of frame - does it matter?

You know, this may be a slightly inane question, but since apparently I'm being made to deal with the local social media conspiracy firsthand, this is hardly the stupidest thing I'm going to decide to do. At least, as far as the rest of you lot tend to tell it.

So! While we're all here and blundering our way through this holiday season – does anyone have any idea what the ratio is here for "people remembering reasonably normal lives" set against "people whose past lives were apparently some sort of weird genre-fiction mess"? If you want to describe your particular brand of genre-fiction mess, do feel free, but it's not required.

Asking for a friend, obviously. ♡

...I'm still figuring out what they exactly are, but there's a manifestation of our "true selves" that can appear as a humanoid figure and has its own powers at our command.
Mine has control over fire and heat.

Do you just generate those things from nowhere, then? Or, well, does your Persona do that, I suppose is the better question.

We generate our Personas from our spirits? The others with one need an object to summon theirs, but they're much younger than I am. The fire my Persona creates is invisible to non-Retrospec users somehow, but I have some control over small flames from another source.

...With all due respect, that is impressively bizarre. Though it sounds useful, if nothing else, especially if you're going to be fighting monsters off.

It has been a bit useful thus far, even though haven't reached the point where I could set something reasonable large on fire.

...I'd argue that that's also, presumably, a good thing.

I'm among the population that believes that impulsively committing arson should never be considered, even if I had the ability to do so.

In fairness, I am still relatively new to this entire thing, and everything that most people have said sounds completely and utterly insane.

We're having a relatively quiet month, so I'd say to enjoy it and take your time absorbing the new information until the buildings turn into cheese or whatever idea Retrospec comes up with in the middle of the night.

The buildings seem to be doing enough unusual things as they are, honestly.

This isn't ever Retrospec's style, but it's effective in other ways.
I don't know when I'll stop mourning over the loss of my favorite small bookstores.

It's more the disorientation that comes with the buildings that are still here moving around that's getting to me, personally.
