So, suppose that you end up receiving a suit in the mail from Retrospec. What do you even do with something like this?

I mean, it's a a very handsome and well-tailored suit, but it looks a little too vintage to be able to pass off as a business suit or something of the like.

Go to the opera? Or a fancy party?

If I can convince someone to go with me, maybe.

I get the feeling I'll be mistaken for a butler if I wear this, still.

Do you normally just run into butlers at the opera or at fancy parties? Do people who aren't royalty even keep butlers anymore?

It's like one of those things you only read about or see on TV but don't actually get to see much in real life, except then when you do see it you immediately think of it because the look is kind of iconic.

Or maybe they'll just think I'm dressing up.

I wouldn't wear it grocery shopping, but if you wear it somewhere you're supposed to be dressing up, you'll be fine.

I guess I have more reasons to find excuses to dress up then.

unless it's falling apart you don't have to do anything but put it on and bam

Christmas is coming up, you could go to a five-star restaurant and splurge for the Holidays.

Picture? "Vintage" isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially if you modernize it with the right accessories.

The rest of it looks nice enough, though. Switch out the ribbon for a solid skinny tie in a more modern accent color like a violet, and pair it with some polished shoes with a pointed toe.

Maybe roll up the sleeves if it's a more casual occasion.

This is all assuming it fits you, obviously.

cant fault that thought at all
retro & victorian is part of the glam
