Not really. Don't see a problem with using it, though.

a lot of people in my neighborhood used it as i was growing up, so it just stuck with me

Did you grow around a lot of old people then?

i wouldn't call them old, they were probably in their 40s or 50s. there were just a lot of adults

i'm the opposite. i've always been the loud kid, so people always hear what i say

it has it's ups and downs,
people tend to take me a little less seriously since i'm loud and they associate it with being obnoxious
