is anyone else experiencing an increase in DROPPED CALLS or TRASHY CALL QUALITY since the launch of Retrospec? long-distance in particular. or is there some other, better explanation for this change that I'm unaware of? after plenty of baseless excuses that turned out to be false, my carrier claims that there's noooothing wrong on their end. but what good are they? they also can't find an app on my phone that we know exists.

it's shocking that nobody else has said anything... unless it really is just me and every single phone I touch.

maybe! mom makes international calls to her parents every few weeks or so with no problem and we have the same carrier. want to meet up and try? we can have dinner o(〃＾▽＾〃)o

may as well get it over with. if your carrier works somehow, at least I'll have some kind of answer.

if, JUST IF, Retrospec is really to blame for the dropped calls... then landlines/payphones should work. just a thought!

Why would they pretend they don't see anything? I know the app seems to have some strange privacy setting because when I tried to show it to my mom she was only able to see my original post but none of the other responses. But to not see the app at all?

that's the kind of thing I'm talking about. I can excuse your mom, since moms usually just don't get phone/internet things. but I hold my carrier accountable, since THAT'S THEIR JOB

if hers doesn't have Retrospec, maybe that's what's blocking calls. my aunt's had it.

i dont get it really, but yes, its the same. maybe the cable connections are just overworked or whatever, i don't know. when i called i was told there's not anything weird with volume, that maybe it was my router or something, but the damn things new.

All of the events you've mentioned. It happened a few days after the Retrospec app was released to most of the users.

I think this might be too much of a coincidence.

some people seem more willing to dismiss it as coincidence. coincidences are conveniences. they mean you can continue on with your lives without sparing a second thought. it could be coincidence? whoooo knows?

Still, I think this might need some investigating. Maybe I'll try to dig into this events when I have some time.

your router will always be at fault, according to your ISP. anything to deflect the blame onto you and your hardware.

you could always try a different internet connection if they're SO insistent on it being your connection.... prove them wrong. I might try Skype myself, just to see if it works for me.

i could try the library's connection at school i guess. or drag my laptop over to someone else's place or the studio and see what happens.

if you do let me/us know? too much tech stuff got suspicious after the spontaneous app installations at the end of january.

wish I knew!! that's why I'm asking. just to see if it's me, or if it's more than that. go ahead, call Texas. I'd really like to know if somebody else has some ounce of success greater than mine. having a full, uninterrupted conversation would be bonus points.
