[Well, this is...probably as good a place to ask as any. Not like he has a lot of other options to look through, and it's now happened enough times in the last week that he's pretty sure he's not just seeing things anymore. But after a few attempts at writing and rewriting he eventually decides to just cut to the chase and keep it simple:]

Has anyone here experienced having their eyes glow red at random brief intervals? If you don't but know somebody that has, that's relevant too. I know odd impossible things happening to eyes isn't actually very new here, but I haven't heard of anything exactly like this yet.

I'd like to find something to correlate with so I can figure out what this is.

Recommendations on eyedrop brands that moisturize the most effectively would be welcome too.

Your eyes are glowing? Are there any other things that happen when they glow?

I know of someone whose eyes changed colors, but that's a fair sight different. Does anything happen once they glow red?

Not particularly. Well [well] I think my hair also "rises" possibly? Not sure how to describe it. The instances have been so brief I haven't been able to really ascertain anything...

I take it you haven't had this sort of experience, at least. [He really hopes you haven't, anyway, having ice and fire is surely already enough??]

Rising hair... That's weird. If you're from the same place that I'm from then maybe it's some kind of superpower. I don't think glowing red is the extent of it.

My eyes don't glow.

As in a permanent color-change, right? I know somebody like that myself. I don't know anyone with eyes that glow though, no...

I'm not sure if anything happens or not. It only happens in a moment, half a second at most, and I don't really feel anything in my eyes when it happens.

Well, they've been a lot drier all of a sudden but that's more in general...

You're telling me. It doesn't make any sense. [Hair isn't even connected to eyes in any capacity, so why!! He has no idea. He kind of hates it already.] Good to hear it's not something that's spreading, though. You've got enough on your plate as it is, I'd think.

[A pause, which is mostly spent grimacing a bit at that first line about. Superpowers......he really doesn't want to address it, but he should. He has to. Considering...]

You think it's like what you have, with your ice and fire, a quirk?


[An even longer pause]

I don't know how I know that. But I guess they're the same thing. Quirk. ""Superpower"". Either way, I don't know if I like the sound of that...

That's a bit sudden, isn't it? [ROS PLEASE....] Not that I wouldn't mind visiting, I suppose.

[Considering...recent events....touching base actually doesn't sound like such a bad idea? Well, hold on, first things first though.]

But what kind of experiments are we talking here, exactly?

Well, I could pepper you with question after question, but that seems like it'd be wasting both our times, don't you think?

And experiments like watching to see what happens when your eyes flare. If there's any change in heartrate, blood pressure, in the environment, to me . . . and so on.

I think I'm done getting weird powers back. Ice and fire seems like enough for anybody.

I think it might something similar. But if you can control it, you probably don't have to use it?

I'm probably going to be peppered with questions either way, now that you mention it. [Reasons he'd been a bit on the fence about making this post to start with, honestly, but that aside...this is still a fair point.] On the other hand, alternative means of investigation are probably going to be welcome, that's true...

[Other possibilities he hadn't been thinking of, though: that--] But I should hope there aren't any changes to you. You're fine with that kind of risk? Having another person looking at it would be an improvement over getting glimpses in reflective surfaces, sure, but that'd be a very unpleasant way to discover I can fire off lasers or...whatever ridiculous thing this is supposed to be. I've my own defenses, believe me. I'll be perfectly fine. I wouldn't have offered it if I'd thought I might end up hurt.

[At last they can have a full circle of mutual worrying.......not that Aizawa wanted this. This is the opposite of what he wants, honestly, but it looks like worrying is just going to be inevitable...because this is, admittedly, a pretty worrying array of symptoms. Glowing eyes...]

Not sure if I want to count random bursts of it as 'control' just yet. Still can't imagine what it'd be "used" for, either.

[Honestly the pauses between all of these lines are probably considerably longer than usual, because while Aizawa tends to encourage other people asking for help he is ironically pretty terrible at actually doing it himself. Much less asking a student, and so...this whole conversation already has a very strange layer. It's taking a bit to work through, but at least text makes it easier. No expressions to school.]

[Who knows. He just got the memory of having Aizawa tied up... without any of the lead up to it. Just the aftermath and Mary looking slightly nauseous... according to him.]

I burned a lot of shirts when I got my fire back.
And my right side frosted over a lot. But that's not as destructive.

But I can share some eyedrops that I use when my eyes get dry from studying all night.

Randomly glowing red? That does sound troublesome.

And you haven't been able to find a correlation between the events? You're not doing the same sort of thing each time or -- thinking the same sort of thought? Feeling the same sort of emotion?

[It does sound like a rather random ability if that's all it is, really.]

And sure, spotting more glowing red eyes in the mirror this morning was an unpleasant surprise too, but this new surprise here is now pretty handily trumping pretty much...all of that, oh no--]

No, it doesn't hurt. It doesn't feel like anything in particular, which is strange enough in its own way.

[Another awkward pause.]

This must be very odd for you. I'm sorry. I'd ask you not to worry too much, but that would honestly be pretty disingenuous...so I won't.

I've seen and heard of a couple of permanent cases by now, yes. Mostly it's been concerning red, so pink's a first...but in any case it doesn't look like I've reached the permanent stage myself yet. I don't suppose yours flickered between pink and a natural color before settling on pink entirely?

[On the other hand, that second bit's an unexpected piece of generosity, huh--]

That's nice of you to offer. Sharing is unnecessary, since I'm capable enough of buying my own...but I wouldn't mind taking a look at the brand name of yours, I suppose, if you have that on hand.
