Good afternoon ☆ Your local Tsukasa Suzakura has a simple request for the artists of Retrospec...
I'd like a poster encouraging people to vote for the return of horses... I'll pay, of course ♪ Hard work should not go unrewarded.
Serious inquiries only. People who are fans of horses preferred, but not required.
Thank you for your cooperation ☆
Otherwise... I have a game I'd like to share with everyone. It's called renga -- essentially, one person begins a poem, and the other person finishes it.
We'll be using the usual format of 5-7-5 / 7-7 for this. The first person will do 5-7-5, and the second will do 7-7. (Those are syllables, for the record.)
Reply with a beginning to this post if you're interested in playing! Others are encouraged to reply around as well to finish poems and start new ones when it's their turn to do so.
I will be indulging myself as well, of course ♪
[ ooc: ...he's seriously willing to pay for horses— ANYWAY, just as stated, renga is a collaborative poetry game! trust me it doesn't matter how bad you are at writing this stuff i am just as terrible. tag around and finish each other's poems, or make fun of them, or whatever— it's a free-for-all. ]

How do votes return horses?
Also what art style?

A survey appears; you vote!
A dynamic style, please.

To be honest, I don't know.

But no, I'm not. I work at the stables, and horses are my favorite animal! They're even why I started working there initially.
That didn't change when they turned into chocobos, mostly because I wasn't on Retrospec until earlier this month... but I'd never quit now anyway.
[ he has good standing and a friend, so. and he likes chocobos? they're just not horses. ]
I feel like it's natural that, with all that in mind, I'd really like for horses to make a return?

I thought it might be fun, but it lost to frustration.
I like horses, but they're harder to draw than most animals. Weird legs. Not a lot of reference material.

I'm not a graphic designer, so I've haven't done too many posters
But if you'd rather have a drawing instead of a printed picture, I can give it a try
And I also work at an art supply store, so I can hang it up there for advertisement if you want
no subject
[ ...wait, he can't just agree to commission just anyone who offers to do it— ]
Actually...
Do you have any examples of your work?
no subject
[And as promised, he sends over a few pictures. They're mostly just sketches of landscapes, various objects, and a few people (Mao and Hinata, among others), but it's clear that he's actually quite good. (This is like the only thing he's good at, let him live.)]
I do a lot of painting, too
Watercolor might be nice for a poster
no subject

I'm glad to find someone else who does watercolor too, though mine's just a hobby.
And I only do landscapes and other nature-related stuff to boot.
no subject
Thanks, that means a lot!
But if you do watercolor too, is it okay to ask to see your work?
It's a really fun medium, I bet you're better than you think

[ He doesn't have his stuff on hand, he has to go downstairs and get it from his grandmother's room... and he'd like to show off his best things, so that takes a little longer to get in order? But eventually he has a small portfolio photographed, he'll send them along.
They're really not bad at all—he's been doing this with his grandmother for two or so years now, as a bonding activity, but it's just as he said: they're mostly landscapes (the shrine in different seasons, the stables, the beach at sunrise) and nature-related (flowers in full-bloom, Echo Woods in autumn, etc). Delicately painted and signed with a つ stamp. Some of them are done in ordinary watercolor, but the ones that are notably more loose are distinctly brighter and heavier in opacity—they're painted with gansai watercolor. ]
no subject
But I'll come up with a few sketches later and see what you think!
[And that's exactly what he does as Tsukasa pulls his work together. But once they're sent over, he can't help but marvel just a bit. What delicate strokes.... there's a lot of love put into what he's painting, that much is obvious.]
Are you sure this is just a hobby?!
You're definitely not giving yourself enough credit, these are beautiful!
