One year ago, my dream was the travel the world. I don't know when that will be possible again, but when we are able to leave, I want to visit every location on my wishlist.

I've only traveled to Egypt to see my relatives, so tell me about the places you have been. What is the culture like? Where are the best attractions? What about the food?

I lived in England when I was younger.
And we traveled around Europe a bit

What part of England? I want to see London, obviously, but I'd miss out on the rest of the country.

My mother's company was there.
But we'd go on day trips out to the country towns.

I have family in Japan and I used to visit them pretty regularly, so I have to put that on the list. the culture is a bit different from Recollé. it's a mishmash of fast paced city culture and old traditions. every step is ancient history and there's so much to see, so I really recommend it. and the food is second to none!

I've been all over Europe too. unesco and everything... and I think my favorite place is still France. I can't get enough of the architecture, and the food is just... wow.

I'm jealous though, I haven't been to Egypt before. it'll be deja vu when I finally go since I studied it so much.

I've always wanted to go to Japan. It's fascinating how one of the most modern high-tech countries on Earth still has strong ties to culture and tradition. Its difficult to imagine how that would work in the US or in most countries, really, so I want to stay there and just...experience it.

I remember some French from high school. Paris is definitely on my list.

yeah. there's really no way to explain it adequately. the US is just too young relatively, and then of course you could write a few books on colonization.....

Paris is worth it. I'm gonna travel again once I have my degree... I want to see it again now that I'm older and can appreciate it more.

I'm from Seattle. We have excellent coffee and seafood. There's so many landmarks in my town. I'm not sure where to start.

I've been to Seattle once to visit a friend. I can trust you that the coffee is amazing and I need to visit as many as I can.

I'm interested most in history and art, but any place were I can be in a crowd is perfect.

Everyone thinks of the Space Needle. But there's also the outdoor sculpture garden. I usually went there once a year.

...I have relatives in Egypt too. However, I've never actually been there myself.

What's it like?

I usually stay in Cairo, since that's where I was born. Like most cities, there are many different neigborhoods and it's much busier than small towns, but the streets outside of the city center have more people than in Recolle.
The food's amazing.
The countryside is quieter. When I was smaller, we went to visit the Pyramids, but I mostly remember the sand and the heat.
I'd love to go there again someday, maybe visit more tombs.

Japan and India are at the top. There's also Venice, Machu Picchu, Moscow, Istanbul, New Zealand, Singapore...

What are some good places to visit in Hong Kong?

A lot of places! Mostly traveling around Europe when I was a kid... Paris was kinda overrated. Prague was nice.

And of course, I'm from Stockholm. It's my favorite!

I went to Egypt once, to see the pyramids! And then we went to Hurghada. I really liked it!

Hurghada's mostly has tourism attractions. I know some of my cousins went there recently, but we've never managed to make time while I was in school. Did you go to Sand City?

I used to go to Japan to visit my grandparents when I was little.
I remember not liking the food very much...
But that's probably because I was really young.

But I used to live in Japan in my memories so I remember a lot about Kabukicho.
Or that version of it, I mean.

I think Japanese food is amazing.
I want to try some authentic sushi if I ever go there.

So tell me about Kabukicho. I remember a lot of things about the Cairo in the 80's from the other Mohammed's memories, and it matches up with what I was told.

plus germany and south korea
but idk how much that really counts for cultures in those places
the culture's pretty much the same across all military bases no matter where you are

How long have you been in Recolle?

What places are on your wishlist? Maybe we have a few in common, you know.

As for myself, I've traveled all over the United States. I was born in New York City though. But due to my parent's enthusiasm over me taking full advantage of my talent in tennis, I've been following the junior circuit throughout my childhood before returning to New York to finish my high school career and ended up here due to a sports scholarship.

And my dream is to go to England, France, China, and Australia someday. Japan too, to visit my counsin's home country. I heard they make great treats! Maybe Canada too!

In short: anywhere that has a unique culture and/or strong historical ties. So I have all of India and Japan, Venice, Machu Picchu, Moscow, Istanbul, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Stockholm, Prague, Paris...

I've been to New York City for a few conferences. I remember the downtown area being really busy, but I have to visit the boroughs.

What's a trip abroad without eating every local dish and snack?

I've never been outside of the United States myself, unfortunately; most of my life has been spent in Recollé, though I did leave and spend my years in university in the Northeast. Charming places, if entirely too cold for my liking. My family is Russian in origin, but I've never been there, personally. Perhaps I'll go see it for myself once we can leave this place again.

How was Egypt, through curiosity?

The cold doesn't bother me anymore.
But I'd like to go somewhere other than downtown New York and Boston.

I spend most of my trips there near Cairo, but we drive out to see the ruins and visit distant relatives, but unsurprisingly it's hot and dry. I love the food and culture. I love the history. But what I love the most are the busy streets and the people.

I grew up around Los Angeles, and I've been to Chicago and Florida and some places like that. The only place I've been outside of the US is Japan (mostly Sendai, but also Tokyo).

Um, the culture there is . . .
I'm not really sure how to describe it succinctly. But some good places to visit in Sendai are the Akiu onsen, Osaki Hachimangu, and the aquarium. It's famous for beef tongue, which I was scared of eating when I was little, but it's actually really good.

In Los Angeles, I would say the food and culture are both fine, and I like the Getty Center and Disneyland.

Well then. I guess I'll have to visit Sendai and check out all those places you mentioned.

...And I've never been to Disneyland.
