Just a little question

One year ago, my dream was the travel the world. I don't know when that will be possible again, but when we are able to leave, I want to visit every location on my wishlist.

I've only traveled to Egypt to see my relatives, so tell me about the places you have been. What is the culture like? Where are the best attractions? What about the food?

Wouldn't your parents have you finish your last year in the same school? It sounds like a lot of trouble to transfer just for a few months.

if my dad gets reassigned to another base then that's that
we don't get to negotiate when and where
when the army says you go, you go
if that means switching schools in the middle of the school year then oh well

I'd think that they would have a system in place for kids almost finished with school.

yeah it's called the dodds
every military base abroad has its own set of american schools attached so our education doesn't get screwed up with all the moving around

Do you still keep in touch with your old friends?

of course i do
it's the only way you can actually KEEP any friends like this

or at least i used to keep in touch before everything in/out of this city started getting blocked
i haven't heard from them or been able to send out a message in months now

That means that you can't move out all of the sudden.
If you count that as a blessing.

if leaving recolle means never having to deal with retrospec again i'd go in a heartbeat
which i bet is why we're all trapped here anyway

Well, then it's just up to us to stop them and hope that this isn't happening in other cities.

They can't ruin Tokyo for me.

What *isn't* in Tokyo?
You have shrines, restaurants, shopping districts, concerts. It's one of the most populous cities in the world!

okay but what part of that is what YOU'RE interested in

I want to go to the shrines and participate in a real tea ceremony and eat Japanese foot, mostly. Just live there for two weeks and experience the city.

I only moved once in my life, but I sort of what to experience how people in other countries live their daily lives. Living in a hotel is different than staying with a friend's house, but it's the closest I can get.

Of course not. But doing otherwise means getting a new job overseas. And I can't do that for every country, can I?
