how many people have memories that span centuries
i mean outside the obvs
but like
there was a memory in ye olde fishing village
somewhere in asia or something
then there was a memory in victorian opium den in like england
then there was a graveyard thing ten years ago where a guy danced a bunch of zombies
to life or something and it was stupid weird
and now
france
wwii
and ss officers
oh
apparently ss officers tasted good
or at least my past self thought they did
who knew
but point is
how many people remember centuries of life
its important

was it an interesting life
well
did people treat sword you well
did you fight in wars
were you japanese or..................
sorry i ask too many questions
[Private]
For me, though...
I was an oodachi that is more than two-meters long. I belonged to samurai clan in Sengoku era Japan, and it seemed the person who carried me died after exhausting himself in a battle because I was too long and too heavy.
So after the battle, someone picked me up, decided I wasn't meant to be wielded by humans and put me in a temple. And that's where I have been after that. People came and prayed to me and gave me offerings.
[Private]
i can see why someone would die to use something that big
bet that i could have used a sword that big
or my friend the lizard
i mean
we were both pretty strong
being not human
were you able to help people
being prayed too might not seem fun
but sometimes people just need to hear things
and get things off their mind
and it helps
[Private]
I don't know if I helped people. It's not like I had any actual powers to grant wishes or anything of the kind. People just thought that since I was called the 'sword of the gods', praying to me might help their prayers reach the gods more easily.
That period of time seems like a bit of a blur to me. I don't think I was really...
engaging with the people who came to the temple. I wasn't paying much attention to them.
[Private]
so guessing vampire since i have scary night vision now
i wear sunglasses at night
even phone screen light hurts my eyes
belief is a power
even if you didnt engage with people
you gave them some kind of hope
just by being there
so you just stayed in the temple for a long time
did you ever leave
[Private]
I wish that were true. I don't think i'll ever really know.
I think I was sometimes moved form one temple to another. But then, after a long time,
someone else called me so they could use me to fight. And they summoned me and gave me a human body.
[Private]
it might be interesting to see where it goes
how different we each are
no probably not
but it is a thought, right
really
did it hurt
or was it semiawareness to full awareness
[Private]
[Private]
sudden birth
but its cool that it didnt
it does
[Private]
[Private]
given new bodies
did he explain why
or how
[Private]
Why was to fight a new type of enemy. I don't really understand all of the mechanism yet,
but it seems that it implies time travelling.
[Private]
tho werent you curious as to how
a new kind of enemy
must have been something strange given that you were a sword before
a sword with enough of a soul to be turned human
because that would be the way
that or a legend
[Private]
Basically, I am what the Japanese call a tsukumogami. An object that gained sentience because of long use by humans. I happen to be a sword, but technically any object could be one.
