i have a question

is "you look like you go to hot topic" considered a compliment or an insult?

i've had this said to me before a few times but i woke up today with my eye color changed and now even more people are telling me this

i do not know hot topic's reputation enough to know if i want to be associated with it. please help

Was it a goth telling you this or someone who doesn't dress like a goth?

No I think goth is more like the people who wear a lot of black.

I guess piercings are part of it?

But it's usually a lot of black and a lot of makeup, especially makeup that makes a person look unnaturally pale.

I don't know enough about fashion to know where else you could shop, but I'm pretty sure Hot Topic is one of the places people go to.
