is "you look like you go to hot topic" considered a compliment or an insult?

i've had this said to me before a few times but i woke up today with my eye color changed and now even more people are telling me this

i do not know hot topic's reputation enough to know if i want to be associated with it. please help

are you a fan of dogs, then? dogs are okay but they're just pathetic because they'll give you attention and love no matter what you do, they're cheap and worthless and are for people who don't want a pet, but a mindless yes man

"loyal devoted friend"? don't make me laugh. dogs are nothing but subservient and easy to please. i could throw it some meat and it would be my best friend. talk about loyal!

a cat is on your level, you have to give it the respect it deserves to gain its trust and appreciation - this makes a cat's love for you worth more than a simple-minded creature who jumps at everyone who moves within its vicinity

dogs are for people who don't want to waste any effort in taking care of another and merely want a slave who will give them meaningless cheap love. dogs are clumsy and loud and are the buffoons of the animal kingdom. cats are graceful and elegant and are for people who don't mind being on the level of an amazingly intelligent animal
