Well... how do people in America go around asking for dates? Is there a specific way you have to do it?

some people just ask out of the blue and some people do something kind of fun or fancy
if you google promposal there are a lot of cute ways people ask people to prom!
which isn't a normal kind of date but i really like seeing them!

So prom is a special date in America... it sounds romantic!

prom is soooo much fun! you get to dress up and look really pretty and have a lot of fun even if you don't have a date
but if you do have a date it's 100000x better!

i did go! i didn't and still don't have a boyfriend but i went with a childhood friend!
he rented a limo and it was amazing and i never felt so rich in my life??
he made sure it was a super fun time

i think some dorms have those kinds of activities
and some school organizations throw formals?
if you don't live in dorms or aren't part of the organization i'm sure you can still go!

I only just started classes, but maybe if I ask some of my classmates?

I'm sure there were some dances back in Japan but I admit I never went to them. I was too shy.
