OTA TEXT | SO WHERE Y'ALL AT????
[sometime on the third, all the names of people who were sent on group missions (obviously au names only) will be released onto the network for IC knowledge. everyone will be able to see this post if they glance at the network, whether they're in the city or away on groups!
however annotated next to the groups will be the information that group one is going to pesgare, group two is going to respartum, group three is going to bosuma, and group four is going to magatus.]
if you didn't get a call to arms here's the copypasta:
hard to do work when you don't have info right
carly's more useful than expected
but he said don't get distracted
anyway
the more you know and all that
[and that's the message!]
[ OOC: please use this as an open mingle for whatever purposes you need! unless directly addressed, baren won't be responding. he just bugged carly for info and shared it. if any adjustments need to be made, lmk!
edit: almost immediately after the initial post goes up, Matt Murdock's name will be edited out into black squares. ]

How would you like to help us help you out? Your observation period's up and I want you on this particular assignment. You'll be fine, you're probably not going to die, and we'll be able to monitor you from here. We need help. You've got the skills needed even if you don't know it yet. I know it and that's what counts.
You'll be working with a group (wish I could give you the names, still putting the lists together), but your assignment partner is [INSERT RANDO HERE]. Should you choose to accept this assignment, you will need to meet at the [LOCATION] and we'll go from there.
You'll be rewarded for your success, of course, but this is only if we have an agreement. Do we have an agreement?

My apologies.
I shouldn't just type everything that I am thinking simply with the hope that it will ease your thoughts.
But that is how it is with smaller places.
There isn't a sense of distrust because no one's made them distrust others yet.
So I believe.
But all the same, I'm glad that you have others with you in case it becomes violent.
I'm certain that you will be fine because of them.
You're the kind of person people can't leave alone, after all.
And this time, it'll be in your favor.
no subject
thats weird though that there has been barely anyone to that place. why have we never heard of it? i've been in recolle for years and i never heard of a fishing village
kei, why do you think people can't leave me alone? what about me is so, i dont know, bothersome?
no subject
I believe I can forgive a fishing village for existing without ever knowing about it.
And as for you question, I would not call you "bothersome."
If I could put it into words, it is that you have "potential."
You lack malice and ill intent.
Mostly because I think both would be too bothersome for you. :)
But you also have the ability to be convinced to do good.
Your potential is something of a mystery and so people who are meddlers tend to wish to see it be the shiniest it can be.
Because of your slothful nature, you lack the barbed words and mannerisms that would deter others from drawing close to you.
I would say the reason why people don't leave you alone is because you are a non-threatening individual that ultimately will do the right thing because you can eb bullied into it.
In short, your "potential" outweighs your "sloth."
Does that make sense?
no subject
i guess? so people bother me because i'm too lazy to tell them to go away
i just let them do what they want
if i was mean, actively so, they would leave me alone
no subject
That's correct.
But they already know who you are.
If you suddenly became actively mean, they'd wonder why that is and attempt to help you.
Your exhaustion would win out and once more return to drawing people to you.
As tiring as it is, I can say most that come to you have good intentions.
Their intentions are to help you because they view you as a good person.
Hardly a negative.

what if they were all wrong and were seeing something which never was there to begin with

You can only ever call out to someone if something inside you is true.
No one is ever fooled long by a lie or a mirage.
The relationships that you have -- they feel real to you, don't they?
The truth in how they feel and how you feel -- it is something that cannot be dismissed.
no subject
i dont know what feels real or not
i just like them but i dont know if its because i just an afraid of being hated
no subject
But what I'm trying to say is that you aren't a person that could fool others.
You simply lack that capability.
You're too honest and I suppose that, too, is what draws people to you.
You like people and are afraid of being hated.
It doesn't have to be a "because" situation.
It can be both.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
Most people don't want to be hated, after all.

and i was about to say sonething but this isnt the time for that. i'll tell you when i get back, maybe
anyways i know that there is a lot more to me thn meets the eye, kei. people are blind to it. in a way, i was blind to it too
no subject
We'll talk more when you return.
I feel like this is just stressing you out more.
But so long as you like people, even in small amounts, that's worth celebrating.
It means that you still want to connect to others.
You're doing better than you think you are.
no subject
anyways thanks for helping out kei, you're a good friend
we'll talk more when i get back. get me some good alcohol as a favor okay?
no subject
At the risk of sounding disingenuous, you're a good friend, too.
I'll look forward to our chat, and ensure that the alcohol is good and not something too foul-tasting.
no subject
and thanks for thinking of me as a good friend. it means a lot
no subject
Of course. I am certain I am not the first or last person to think of you as such. Even with your laziness, you always make an effort for us. So... thank you for considering us worth it.
no subject
humanity has its good qualities i guess
i can't exactly pass on that
but that's nothing to thank me over, really. doesn't everyone feel like they at least have to put in a little effort in some places?
no subject
I suppose that you're right. But what we decide to put our effort into says a lot about who we are.

so you live vicariously through others?
no subject
My nihilistic view of the world makes it difficult sometimes for me to be part of it. But I do like seeing how it is like for those living in it normally.
