OTA TEXT | SO WHERE Y'ALL AT????
[sometime on the third, all the names of people who were sent on group missions (obviously au names only) will be released onto the network for IC knowledge. everyone will be able to see this post if they glance at the network, whether they're in the city or away on groups!
however annotated next to the groups will be the information that group one is going to pesgare, group two is going to respartum, group three is going to bosuma, and group four is going to magatus.]
if you didn't get a call to arms here's the copypasta:
hard to do work when you don't have info right
carly's more useful than expected
but he said don't get distracted
anyway
the more you know and all that
[and that's the message!]
[ OOC: please use this as an open mingle for whatever purposes you need! unless directly addressed, baren won't be responding. he just bugged carly for info and shared it. if any adjustments need to be made, lmk!
edit: almost immediately after the initial post goes up, Matt Murdock's name will be edited out into black squares. ]

How would you like to help us help you out? Your observation period's up and I want you on this particular assignment. You'll be fine, you're probably not going to die, and we'll be able to monitor you from here. We need help. You've got the skills needed even if you don't know it yet. I know it and that's what counts.
You'll be working with a group (wish I could give you the names, still putting the lists together), but your assignment partner is [INSERT RANDO HERE]. Should you choose to accept this assignment, you will need to meet at the [LOCATION] and we'll go from there.
You'll be rewarded for your success, of course, but this is only if we have an agreement. Do we have an agreement?

And please wear appropriate clothing. Something light and airy would be good...
If you're bad with heat, bring a friend who isn't so you'll have someone to watch your back should you pass out or something similar.

granted its probably best to practice the buddy system regardless
the forest has had its share of dangers
i imagine the underground must as well
no subject
It must feel... It's February, so it's probably cold?
But it'd be nicer than here. And a lot prettier, too.
What kind of dangers? Bears and wolves?
no subject
which is good
since none of us were really prepared for a long camping trip haha
i dont know about wolves but we have run into some bears
but the danger aside i do have to admit its gorgeous here
[she sends over a few pictures, including some of friendly wildlife, giant flowers and mushrooms, and a selfie with her lusus (and a little bird sitting on one of her lusus's horns).]

I'm so jealous!!
Ours is more like...
[ he'll send some pictures of the scenery; there is lava and weird staircases and a forge? It's Hell. some living quarters too, and he seems to be up higher... because he's on a higher level, it's slightly cooler here okay, don't judge. ]
It seems like something out of a fantasy world or something, right?
There's smithing noises almost all day long, too.
Also: do you mind if I ask what that little bird is sitting on?
It's very interesting-looking?

both of these environments would make perfect d&d settings
bosuma could be the ancient home of the elves
and respartum the ancient home of the dwarves
or vice versa if you wanted to mix things up :)
the bird is sitting on my lusus
shes ...
i guess you could consider her an animal companion
formerly of my past self
and currently of my present self
shes an alien animal though and not native to bosuma
no subject
I've never played D&D, but that sounds fun?
I have a hard time imagining hardy short people living with trees though...
But I do like mixing things up.
Sounds interesting ♪
Do you have a telepathic link? Like in movies and things.
no subject
its a lot of fun
haha no nothing like that
although you are not the first person to ask that question
shes pretty smart but shes definitely not psychic
she is just a normal ... ramgaroo
or kangaram
i never really decided which portmanteau to use
no subject
I guess it really depends if she's more ram or kangaroo though, actually?
no subject
shes a little both and a little neither
sometimes she headbutts and sometimes she kickboxes
sometimes she walks and sometimes she hops
i havent really heard her bleat though so
maybe leaning toward kangaroo?
