Valentine’s Day is almost here!

Hello everyone!

I know we’re all a little busy with various tasks, but I think it’s good to take a break every now and then! So while you have some downtime I’d like to get everyone’s opinion on something! Everyone here is so unique and different that I’m looking forward to your answers!

My question is, what do you think is the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day for a friend? And also for a special someone? Obviously there’s candy and flowers, but what would you like to give or get for the holiday?

If I said what I was getting him here, I'd be spoiling the surprise.

But I like Japanese sweets best.

For a friend, something practical that they can enjoy. It could be tea, coffee, or some clothes they would like.

For a special someone...hmm something they have wanted for awhile. A present for me would be a book, though not a very cheap one, but one not too expensive either.

[Not that she would pass up one if it's expensive.]

Since I have a kitchen now, I've been practicing baking so I can make things for my family and my best friend.

For other friends I'd buy chocolate because else I'd be baking forever. Homemade just seems better.

It doesn't look like art when I bake, but at least it's edible.

As for me, I'm fine not getting anything.
It'd be nice, but I'm not that memorable or social, so I've only gotten things from my best friend and family.

Food, always.

But just hanging out is pretty great.

... time together.

Of course, there would be presents. Sweets and such. But I find that time spent together with someone you like is the best gift.

Time is fleeting, after all.

Not if the person teaching you is stuck in a winter wonderland outside the city.

You think so? I'm fine with just feeling like that for my birthday and Christmas. Valentine's day is for couples anyways.

If it's for someone special, you can't go wrong with a romantic dinner at home!
Perfect for foodie introverts!

No matter who it's for it should be something that you know would mean something to them.
It doesn't have to be expensive but it should have some thought put into it.
Generic stuff like chocolates and flowers don't show any thought or care imo.
