Now that I have your attention, let's discuss unusual weapons.
Such as the above knitting needles you see. Yes, I do believe they were my "past self" (or whatever)'s choice of weapon.
Consider me the High Grandmaster of needle-fu, which is clearly a real thing.
If you wonder what one could do with knitting needles, for the record, I imagine stabbing or strangling with yarn would be the most obvious possibilities.
Or knitting killer sweaters. So cozy you die.

Tell me what unusual weapons your "past selves" (or whatevers) used.

also it just kinda disappears when im not using it???
like in video games when people pull things out of nowhere
its just magic i guess

Honestly, that really has mine beat. I've got a small sword that I think doubles as a conductor's baton.

That certainly sounds a bit more practical, at least.
Though wouldn't you run the risk of accidentally stabbing and/or slicing your orchestra while conducting?

No more than the orchestra itself! Because it's used to conduct swords flying through the air.

I have a staff that shoots magic bubbles and can shrink down to be a violin.

What sort of magic bubbles?
And do you play the violin?

I don't know what weapon I had in the past, but the fact you're using knitting needles sounds pretty serious.

I feel like there's more stabbing involved than knitting.

I may have been presumptuous in my assumption that everyone even had past life weapons, but I suppose that's because there's little fun in not.
I imagine so, but you never know.
Perhaps I knitted cozy death scarves.

granted, it summons creatures, but a book nonetheless
it's quite weighty, so i'm certain it could be used for smacking people as well...
knitting needles are quite an interesting weapon of choice however
almost like the sort of novelty things one would glamour one's weapon with rather than actually use

What sort of creatures do you summon?
I must say a summoner's book is the most video game type of weapon I've heard so far.
It does, doesn't it.
If I hadn't already the foreknowledge that they were probably weapons I would have assumed them literally solely to knit.
I admit I'm disappointed by their plainness.
I've always been more of a magic caster type of person when it comes to my weaponry choices (in video/tabletop games and the like).

wonderful creatures of many makes. one of them is a snow fairy, for example. another is the personification of death itself.
the snow fairy is far chattier, as you may expect. he's also growing more sulky at the idea that the weather is warming up.
summoner's always been my first pick as well in video games, so as you can imagine, i was quite pleased to find out i was one here.

Depends on the yarn.
I imagine for fighting one would need particularly strong yarn, for strangling or... whatever else you can do in a fight with yarn.

ehhhh? that's probably the weirdest one i've seen so far. what makes you think they were weapons of yours? maybe you were just super intense about knitting and sewing and junk

Is it?
Two things give me the context.
One is a memory of fighting off my mother with them, in some sort of baffling pre-teen temper tantrum.
The second is that they came with a "strife specibus", which I suppose is some mechanism for weaponry based on the word "strife".

Also, I asked my brother who is from the same past life/whatever you want to call it and he did not disagree with the notion.

I don't have enough memories from my "previous life" yet to comment on what kind of weapons might've been involved. But I did have an old army mate who could use just about anything in a fight.
Not during the war, mind! We were both in the Air Force. But he was absolutely deadly in a bar fight. You wouldn't think a curly straw could be quite so dangerous.
