Kara Ellis shared a photo. 2/23 near Recolle U.

So Retrospec sent me a cape. Weird, huh? Had a little fun with Photoshop since it makes me feel like some sort of hero, and it's definitely an upgrade from the towels I wore as a kid. Has anyone else gotten something like this? It feels way, way more significant than just a bit of cloth, but hell if I know why.

I received an outfit just a week ago. It's not a cape, but there's definitely a sense of significance that came with it.

[Though, unlike Kara, she knows why.]

What's the cape like? It looks just like they would in the movies!

It's definitely a cape. Made of some sort of metallic fabric. Pretty thick, soft, definitely not a material I've ever seen. Thank god it's not a mini-cape. I'd die of shame.

That sounds like really sturdy material. I haven't worked with fabrics much, but I imagine you wouldn't be able to tear it easily!

Whoa, impressive! I got a dress with a cape on it once and it's sort of the same aesthetic. Except it has this symbol that I remember having on all my stuff.

What's the symbol? Can you draw it?

It's kind of like this diamond-shield-thing, except there's something that looks like an S inside it. Mr. Cumore is convinced it's a clothing brand.

If you ask me not to judge, then I won't.

But perhaps, the reason that it feels significant is because of that man?

i dunno about capes, but i hear sometimes i hear about people getting stuff like superhero-y tights

That is one sweet cape! Is it really that red in person or is that Photoshop magic? Which by the way impressive Photoshop skills you've got there! I thought for a sec that you had flying powers.

Oh it's definitely that red. Red as blood, roses, and all that poetic stuff.

And thanks! Photoshop is just a fun little hobby. I definitely can't fly.

Nice! I don't know what it is but red capes always look the coolest on superheroes. Thinking about the different comics I've read the red capes were always more memorable than other color capes. Maybe it's the intensity of the color. It takes someone bold to really pull it off I bet. Which by the way it looks totally natural on you.

I've had some memories. Not a lot, but enough to know they're real.

None with capes though. Just funny outfits.

You think? I shopped a good 20 pounds off.

And yeah, maybe. Wonder Nerd, with Kung-Fu grip. Very me, yeah?

That's an interesting piece. Is that how you've seen yourself in your memories?

No. I've had memories of spelunking, getting lectured by some man in a cape, talking to other me's uncle, and doing routine lab work with other me's dad.

Nothing heroic about that, just kinda liked the image.
